Hi. It's very normal for PDA phones with built in GPS to be warm/hot at the back. It has happened to my TyTn II & my bro's Touch Pro. Don't worry abt it.

hi guys , do u all using phone charger in the car?? and if while i running garmin , can it have enough power to help me re-charge back if i using it for long distance?? and which charger u guys using?? some say motorola can be used at our X1.....

i use my old holux gps car charger ... it just work fine ... yup it can give juice to ur X1 when u need it ..

so just use any charge tat can be fix to our socket then is ok?

u all jus need find a car charge convert to usb port .... i use psp car charger also same... as long it is 5V and the Current is not more then ur battery current... 700mA will do fine.... 500mA also can.. jus take time to full charge..

The latest original rom is R3A. Just download the Generic UK R3AA010 rom. There is no malaysian version of the firmware.

So which custom rom did u choose? Usually it takes around 15 mins inclusive of hard reset for me.

i flashed to Energy new rom.. it is much better then FS... less bug..

I don't think Opera can watch videos youtube, at least mine cant, correct me if i'm wrong
I used an app (included with FS3.4) to watch youtube videos.

the official garmin installer could be found on www.garmin.com

who said cannot share it out. once the official website got the installer, that mean it is legal to share. but then the "afta" part figured it urself which lowyat is strictly prohibited.

go find on garmin website to get the garmin installer.

for map, i would recommend malfreemaps rather than malsingsmap. malfreemaps is free and great contribution of malaysian rather than non-malaysian. malsingsmap map is now partly updated by garmin themselves. and malfreemaps is so much less hassle than malsingsmap in installation process. n besides, malfreemaps updated once a week. surely will have the most updated map for malaysia.

Anybody using gadget shieldz here? I'm interested in getting one and try, using the pouch is a little bulky for me as I'm always on the move.

Btw, rota v2 rom is coming out soon, maybe I'll give it a try. I've been on FS 3.6.53 for quite a while, ever since I uninstalled G alarm the battery life improved significantly. Now a single charge can last me 2 days.
