you can say so...but the you can also say it's the effect the photographer desired...other tips on taking this kinda pictures include setting the ISO to as low as possible to reduce noise...

QUOTE(dvlzplayground @ Mar 27 2010, 06:19 PM) can, but not like the pics at the website u linked la. the blurred background thing is called bokeh. lx3 can do this better than other compacts, but the bokeh wont be as blur as DSLR. even among DSLR, the more expensive full frame ones can make the bokeh even more blur Bro,want to ask, the s mode how to change the shutter speed?I have no idea how to change it...newbie here..thxset to A mode, and F2.0. have ur subject near to the camera, maybe like less than 1 meter, but ur background is far away. further ur background, the better. focus on the subject n shoot! use S mode, set to 2 seconds or more n shoot. u need a tripod for this, or atleast something to rest the camera on. |

if me...
1) zoom to 60mm 2) use A mode, set to 2.8 3) experiment with angles 4) make sure ur background is pretty much empty 5) dun use built-in flash... maybe can use table lamp or something. nicer if u diffuse |
