Are we now judging players on just a few games now? Foster had one bad game after his shaky start against Chelsea. If we keep dropping players each time after a mistake/bad game, we wouldn't have many players in form/with confidence. If he's consistently bad for a few games(consecutive games), then he deserve to be dropped.
