well im sure your ath-500 headphones is good enough for good sound positioning in games.
afterall, gamers have been surviving with stereo sound for donkey yrs before 5.1 and even 7.1 became popular.
better work on ur skills first la...aiming / reaction / anticipation / etc...
then once u reach a certain level...u may start wishing u had more accurate sound positioning like how far / how high / how low etc...then only go get a better headset.
but if ur like blacktrix and just want it for the sake of uhh wanting it...then i guess nothing can stop u from getting the megalodon

anyone seen the fragged edition goliathus speed here? how is it? i mean is it totally same as the original speed goliathus, with extra razer logo on it? or is the color of the pad different? cause i see in pictures online it seems more grey than black, where as the original speed goliathus is much blacker(and nicer xP)

LOL is the armadillo so important? And the DKTBoard is so small anyway. I'm still getting used to the key layout >.<. I find the cable is a bit too short for my desktop, need to route it in a particular way for it to be just about long enough. I'll probably get a USB hub for it soon.

If you're using it ONLY for gaming then yeah, the Megalodon is well, mega. But for movies and music especially, you'll need a proper dedicated soundcard. You can then pair it with a decent pair of headphones and get acceptable directional clarity too. On board soundcards are useless. When I'm doing work on my laptop (with on board sound obviously), I'll need to turn on my desktop (decent X-Fi soundcard and Razer Mako) to play music. My electricity bill shoots up to the moon, but well, it's a fair trade off.

But for gaming at CCs.. I guess you'll need the Megalodon.

well, how often have u gone to lan tournaments?
it is irritating having the mouse cable drop behind the table edge til there is no slack in the cable causing drag on the mouse.
u can put something heavy on the end of the cable so it wont move to give it some slack, but there is still drag cos most of the cable is on the mat.
thats why armadillo and mouse bungees are designed so that the cable is higher, giving it somewhat a feel of a wireless mouse.

thats why the megalodon has an option to use 2.0.
