hmm havent try enabling the LLC? that one will make your voltage you set in bios = the voltage you'll see in CPUz (let the mobo handle the voltage instead of the CPU) i did managed to boot on 4.2ghz 210X20 for fun purposes only.. but havent really stress test it.. takut bakar and no plans of tweaking it at that speeds
anyways.. as im trying to say.. the 8pin will help in OC only /swt it wont really help with your mobo's performance

try lowered the clockspeed and see what's the limit you can use back the device,... let's see what happening there, maybe something missing on the setting...

yes, it's one of the issue... but to make sure it's an issue or not simply can check via Device manager while the device is inserted.

can u push it that far depends on luck basically... even my elite rated @1333mhz can boot @1600mhz without prob.. but when i inc to 17++ then no boot... and i wont exceed my vdimm more than 1.65v..hehe

Wrong type of RAM spotted. The maximum recommended Vdimm for P55 series CPUs is 1.65V; 1.8V will permanently damage your CPU in a short while.
