Hey man, congrats! Can I know you load temp while running IBT?

Here's my i3 530 @ 4.51Ghz HT ON 1 hour Prime stable. Idle temps are around 27C, 30C water cooled

Boleh tahan, 32nm is interesting to explore with but the RAM can only do CL9, lol. Crap RAM

hmm.. i3 seems not that bad to play around with.. hopefully because of this i can find some cheap i7 860 on garage sales hahahaha

I think it's worth to try out those 32nm chips The 860 is still 45nm but of course, it's a lot faster than the i3

facing problems with my h55m-ud2h. 4.0ghz also can't boot.

I don't think it's the board, everyone is happily overclocking 4.x Ghz with that H55 board Perhaps it's something else, your settings, etc. You might want to google to get some sample settings from others to try out.

sigh i just suck at oc-ing. can't seem to find any reviews nor forums that discuss this mobo tho.

During OC'ing learn the key element of 'isolating'...When u understand how to isolate, then you have no prob to identify the cause of fail OC..

load temp Linx/IBT will not be stable at this clock...not trying to get it stable, i just wanna see how far this proc can go.
but when i run super pi 32m the load was 62c...so i think if 100% load will be around 7xc...scary man even on WC...but 4.5ghz i got about the same temp as bro clawhammer when stress 4.5ghz. coz 4ghz only 40-42c prime95 stress.

Yes bro, I think it's really hard to get it Prime stable at 4.6Ghz and above as even the Vcore has to be substantially up. I guess the i3 540 might have better capabilities to hit that clock Nevertheless, I'll try some suicidal runs and see if I can boot into Windows at 4.8-5.0 later when I have nothing better to do

yea try bro...i only can run until 4.9ghz but bsod once in windows. ram problem kot..and the vcore at bios already max stuck at 1.7v. how to make it go further eh?any jumper to set ar? hehe...

done near 4ghz with i3-530 and the results are soooooooooooooooo far away from i5-750 / i7-860 for 32m SPI. arggghh.

there's advantage in the dedicated core per thread and more cache.
