QUOTE(tesla_rage @ Jan 19 2010, 12:05 AM) load temp Linx/IBT will not be stable at this clock...not trying to get it stable, i just wanna see how far this proc can go.but when i run super pi 32m the load was 62c...so i think if 100% load will be around 7xc...scary man even on WC...but 4.5ghz i got about the same temp as bro clawhammer when stress 4.5ghz. coz 4ghz only 40-42c prime95 stress. |

Yes bro, I think it's really hard to get it Prime stable at 4.6Ghz and above as even the Vcore has to be substantially up. I guess the i3 540 might have better capabilities to hit that clock but when i run super pi 32m the load was 62c...so i think if 100% load will be around 7xc...scary man even on WC...but 4.5ghz i got about the same temp as bro clawhammer when stress 4.5ghz. coz 4ghz only 40-42c prime95 stress. |

done near 4ghz with i3-530 and the results are soooooooooooooooo far away from i5-750 / i7-860 for 32m SPI. arggghh.
there's advantage in the dedicated core per thread and more cache. |
