QUOTE(nicks @ Jan 8 2011, 02:57 PM) LoL. more better cooling with extra fan. u have no idea how hot it is for your proc when reach 4GHz. Vcore maybe 1.35 and above. I can keep it under 1.35 for 4.0...but it throttles..means too hot already...but 75 only at LinX around 1.28 can already Hey..my processor throttles at 73 max...can I off the Intel TM? I can't get it at 4.0 constant This post has been edited by ne0cz: Jan 8 2011, 10:01 PM

QUOTE(seanlimys @ Jan 11 2011, 07:24 PM) I gave up. Currently running 160 bclk with speedstep and turbo mode on... Suprisingly if below 4.0 the voltage is very low...currently 1.136V in CPU-Z with p95 running. Save some power as well

I am curious because I am running 1.407v on my msi P55 GD65 with an i5-750 at 3.8Ghz (200x19) and a VTT of 1.361v. Is the setting allright for continuous use or i should raise the VTT and lower the vCore? The temps are quite low, around 75C with my Hyper 212+.

Looks like ur vcore is quite high.. mine is 1.17 in bios at 2 pages back Using same 212+ but with extra R4-C2R-20AC-GP instead of another blademaster(expensive) 65C only at max fan, around 68C at ear safe settings if i remember correct

I mean what should i set? Maybe my VTT is a little low to be stable? Is your proc running at 3.8GHz?

My GPU keep speeding up the fan and lowering it back I think your voltage is too high for 3.8ghz only

Is my VTT too low? It is at 1.366v now.
Added on January 14, 2011, 5:46 pmActually the Vdroop of my board is very high. When i set it to 1.407v, it will drop to 1.344v when stress testing. It will crash easily if it get any lower. I alredy enabled the Loadline calibration.

The Vdroop happens in LinX more noticibaly. It only drops to 1.360v in p95. And is p95 stable enough? Or I need to pass the LinX test too?

P95 is normal stability testing. IMO I think LinX is very fast and also pushes the proc to generate more head than P95 can... LinX pushes my 3.5 OC to 62C in 20minutes... Prime95 only can push to 57 after more than an hour
