I tried updating this morning and the phone keep on being stucked at "verifying iphone restore" I tried reinstalling itunes and using different computers but the problem remains. Any solutions here?
My phone is totally blank even in recovery mode and i can't switch on at all.

Is yours unjailed? Isit safe for an unjailed iphone to update to 3.0 firmware using itunes?

There has been reports that the authentication servers are very congested due to massive requests from everywhere in the world. A lot of users ended up with a bricked phone but not for long as long as you get pass the authentication servers. Give it some time and try again.

my phone is unlocked and im using celcom. just installed os 3.0 and could use the mms function
now after 30 mins, im unable to take pics and send. there is no option for take pictures while using messaging app. checked settings and the mms option gone.
please help!

My phone is jailbroken before update but it can be used without jailbreaking it. Still stuck at verifying iphone restore

erm. if the command clearly states that you need iTunes 8.2.
shouldn't you try reinstalling that first?

Ouch my upgrade to 3.0 was so painful. I had the Maxis 5.0 settings for my logo so I factory resetted ... and forgot to backup. Sigh. So anyways I'm trying to restore my old ringtones now, and for some reason I can't. I've even re-created the ringtones from create AAC --> delete file from itunes --> change filename to m4r --> re-add to itunes. The file then shows up under ringtones in the library, but it won't sync to the phone. any ideas? Attached thumbnail(s)

@ deodorant yup. it is too long. trim it down to 30seconds by right clicking that track. when i using my 2g iphone to call, after awhile chatting the screen will automatic swith off...izzit any possible to turn it on?
because sometime i was using italk to call out, when italk want to select option 1 to redial i cannot do that because the screen is turn off.... i have no choice to cancel the call to redial back,,,
please help~
