HI,

I previously had a problem where my iphone just drops line, and sometimes it just go simlock, lock or unlock.

Told maxis.. and the changed 1 to 1 no question asked. WAs happy....

Now this new iphone, no more the previous problem but got a new problem now.

at times when i receive a call.. the screen does not light up, phones is vibrating with ringtone, but ZERO image to slide to answer the call.

I press power and home also no effect, eventualy it will cancel the cancel.

Once the call canceled i press power or home the sceen lights up again, like normal.

The blank screen doesnt happen all the time, but in a day maybe 1-2 times.

what the problem??

upon receiving your brand new (second) iPhone from maxis, did you restore it using your previous backup? if you did, perhaps i could recommend that you set up a brand new phone instead?

there is an app call volume booster in cydia. i dont know whether it works or not. i think it spoils the speaker. im not too sure . X_X

the new stupid maxis policy is if your phone has a problem u need your phone for 2 weeks in order to get ur new phone.

Added on May 20, 2009, 11:31 amBTW guys, a question here. I already have iTunes on my Vista laptop. So if I sync to my iTunes on Mac mini, what will happen? Will the world come to an end? Hehehehe... Just worried coz last time I lost nearly 5GB of ripped music after iTunes crashed on Windows and I really don't know what will happen this time. I am worried if I sync to a fresh iTunes the program will wipe clean my iphone storage and settings.

BTW I am using Iphone 3G and still virgin (not jailbreaked).

Thanks davidgary. The situation is like this. I would like to still maintain my setup of both my Laptop and Mac Mini. My primary setup is the laptop but occasionally I would like to open iTunes from my Mac Mini to do purchases or download from AppStore. I don't want to maintain my whole collection of music and podcast on both computers you see, and god forbid to transfer all my music and podcast to the Mac Mini.

So here is my question again. If I install iTunes on the Mac Mini and do a sync for purchases, will it wipe out my iPhone data or it is intelligent enough to understand that this new computer is an additional computer pairing (using bluetooth term here). Anybody with the same situation with mine can help also. Thanks.

iTunes to an extend, is intelligent enough to detect that. however if both your PC/MAC have almost (or the approximate) music contents, it shouldn't wipe out the data on your iPhone.

ppl, at d moment, wat firmware is AT&T iphone3g using? i mean wen u buy it, wat firmware does it come with? 2.2.1 or 2.2? from wat i understand, if u buy it with 2.2.1, there is no chance of usin yellowsnow rite..

Usually when Apple seeds a new firmware, within 1-2 weeks, all iPhones will be updated to the latest firmware as mentioned by crxr. So you won't be able to use yellowsnow.
