when i receive SMS, there's no screen alert but only the white breathing notification light.. any idea or any program that can enable us to know that there's a SMS received on our home screen?

I guess updating via NSU will be the same with FOTA. But you can always try.

I haven't updated to v30 that is why. But anyway previously in v21 I did it twice... once via FOTA and another via NSU. I find the NSU one more reliable because it downloads the whole firmware again instead of just the 3mb of updates so I ensure I get a clean firmware.

update via FOTA required hardreset in order to get the email notification thingy on homescreen.

I am lazy to hardreset and reinstall. thats why do not have the email notification thing.

Let us know if urs have it without hardreset after updating via NSU~

im a noob here. any1 knows what pc suite is for? i press pc suite button when i connected the tube to the comp but nth happens... =(

Gosh, apparently which USB port you are using to update NSU also makes a difference. I update via the front USB on my pc casing, the phone hang-ed like 3 times. Then I use the back USB port now only the update can work..

i tried to instal the mykeylock 1.1.4 d.. but failed to do so.. coz certificate error.. how to solve it? nid any software to solve this prob? thanks

You have to sign the apps 1st.

I'm using this. But iianm, not all unsigned apps can be sign.

for those who have upgraded to v21.0.101 hk code earlier..

please use jaf or nss or phoenix to change back to apac1 malaysia code..

then proceed to use NSU to update ur 5800xm...n voila! v30!!

it seems that prev hk code used does not have v30 yet..

i updated my firmware via Wifi, not pcsuite. any major difference? i didnt hardreset watsoever...

sure garmin has tat slow locking, crashing, and accuracy problem with the new v30 firmware guys?

had to do a hard reset after nsu..5800 jz feel a bit faster..don't need that email notification thingy anyway..

were u on v21.0.101 earlier as well? now jz got a bug..can't restore sms from backup..

there is a screen alert indeed ....
after you unlock the screen ... and u have miss call or sms... it will display it on the bottom of the home screen with number of miss call and/or sms

secondly... it will also display a small sms icon and/or phone icon(for miss call) on the top right corner (beside the battery indicator) too ..

those whom using or waiting NSU/PCSuite update are most probally AP unit that can't update via FOTA
