Despite Arsenal's Diaby, Song and Sagna not lacking in physical power, these guys were obviously a bit too nice compared to Fletcher and Carrick.

Wenger needs to use this game to boost the nasty side in some of his players. You have the physical strength, so beat the sh*t out of players that play dirty.

tbh, it was a waste considering Man U had Ferdinand out, Van der Sar out, Wes Brown (!) starting.

The real question is why couldn't Arsenal get more goals? Too easily stopped just outside the box. Also no true left-wing type of player, just like Liverpool. Maybe should have tried to sign Robben.

I think although Diaby has done decently throughout the match, that o.g. doesn't look "hard to avoid" to me.

His head direction showed that he intended to head the ball towards the goal doh.gif

... but since the Diaby Hate Club army is silent, I think it's alright?

one of my arsenal friend said this to me too. for me it looked like a mistake ... but he told me it looks like diaby purposely score the goal ...zz

Stop mourning about the defeat Gunner fans!!! We must accept the defeat. Is not end of the world anyway! With this defeat I think Wenger gonna sign another player to stregthen our squad. I do blame Diaby for the own goal. I did not blame for our squad is not in full strength. Is just our luck not there yet and the ref always sides the home team.Same old story. I do not feel Man Utd beaten us flat like last year CL

Today referee is hard to make a decision because of constant acting by players.

When the manu players fouled, the **** ref always goes and have a word with them, told them to calm down, basically just giving them chances. Tell me do you see the ref give the same courtesy to Arse players?

Valencia jumped and elbowed vermaelen in the face, just a talking to, no cards no nothing.

Flecther two footed challenge on Arshavin clearly didnt get the ball, nothing.

Rvp made a similar challenge outside of our penalty box, YELLOW CARD.

Song made his first foul in the game, YELLOW CARD.

Half-time stats was
Arsenal 7 fouls, 4 cards.
manu 13 fouls, 1 card

It's clear as day the referee in the EPL supports only 2 teams, manu and liverpool.

i was one of "Diaby hate club army", but for me, the own goal is not totally his fault...like someone said, its hard to defend giggs curly free kick...also, i think diaby got quite a good game, he's not the most bad player on the pitch, and also not the best player out there...his dribbling is quite good actually...hope he can bounce back and be a better player...

I would say it's a 3rd straight poor games by almunia. IMHO, he really takes his place for granted. Rooney has no chance at all of keeping da ball but yet almunia go all out on that dibe. It's very disappointing that we lost at our own hands rather than due to our opponent superiority.

For Diaby, wtf is that defending?? half-hearted?? AW should trust more in NB52 rather this wannabe...he's really awlful...

I hope AW just buy an unknown keeper man.At the moment,Almunia do not look convincing at all to be in a cup winning team.

Should even considering of dropping him as a warning if he do not perform well.

Yes this is what I thought in the first place but my view changed after a few games. The question is not why we need to nasty. Its how to be nasty. Honestly how to be nasty when their players commit 10 crappy challenges and get away with just a talking to or a warning but when we mistime a tackle just 1 time we get a straight yellow for it. How to be nasty ?
