i think it would be good to see if arsenal can hold their own against MU without having fabregas. the young ones have acquitted themselves well against celtic yesterday.... besides, if he's not fully recovered, i'd rather not risk it. i don't think we will be outplayed like we were last season in the CL.

Yeap, this weekend will be the 1st REAL test for us... With all due respect to the teams we've played so far, they didn't put up much of a fight... I hope we come through good this time biggrin.gif

oh shut up already about the dive. lots of players dive.. heck even maradona used his hand to score the winning goal in World Cup. Nobody calling to banned him for life? fark la.. why the double standard?

Anyway, vermaelen was caught offside.. i LOL. hehehe

I'm quite worry about Sagna. Last nite, he got exposed a couple of times and that Donati goal was from his side. SAF will take note of that and use Evra/Rooney combo to attack on that side. it'll be a long hard day for Song and Sagna.

Lol... I've noticed that for the past couple of games that our centerbacks end up in striking positions... Is this also a part of our new style of play? Lol...
Speaking of Vermaelen i'm actually very very impressed with the way he has settled into our defence but like i said, the real test comes this weekend...

Well, i think if wenger goes with his 4-3-3 against MU this weekend u won't get to see Evra romping down the left wing that often... He isn't the tallest of fullbacks and mayb our new system with Bendtner there will limit his forays forward thus providing some sort of cover for Sagna biggrin.gif

Celtic's calls to ban Dudu are merely harsh words spoken in a heat of a moment, just like how a furious Arsene lashed out at Taylor after he smashed Dudu's ankle.

When the mind's boiling, the mouth spews acid.

If the authorities decide to give Dudu a ban as punishment, then we cannot complain too much. But if that really occurs, then retrospective reviews and punishments should be made compulsory for every controversial diving incident from now on, not just when it happens to Arsenal. Again, no one gave a crap when Babel, RVN, and Rooney did it to us.

Let's see whether the authorities have the balls to do it or not.

The Old Trafford crowd will give Dudu lots of boo-missiles whenever he touches the ball this weekend. A winner from Dudu would shut 'em up nicely.

Anyway, Eboue wants to stay... we want Manu to stay too !!

Harsh to blame the goal on Sagna. Yes the goal came from his side but if you noticed our defense had a pretty nice line apart from Gallas who was caught asleep and did not notice all his teammates had stepped up. Gallas should have stepped up and Donati would have been definitely offside. If anything it was Gallas who was at fault IMO. Pause when Loovens or whoever it was begins to lob the ball and you can clearly see it was poor positioning from Gallas. The slow mo replay clearly shows it was Gallas who played Donati onside as well a bit later into the video.

Then again I'll let Gallas off this one as he really looked knackered and tired towards the end. I guess its just a bit of fatigue creeping in at the end. Hope he will recover fully and be fresh by Saturday.

Video evidence:

Yeah the way he used his low center of gravity to make a quick turn and shot was sweet. The shot itself lack power but he just took it so quickly. One touch and bang. Gave the defender and Boruc in particular no time to react.

I agree with you bro.But in my opinion, after this incident. They might implement a new rule in diving. Instead of yellow card, they might be slap a ban on the player

Y wanna ban Dudu? He didn't complain that he was fault. The referee only gives the penalty, Dudu didn't do anything wrong! I remember once agst liverpool Van Bronchorst fell down in the penalty box but he didn't complain and he got sent off. Even the liverpool players were shock on the sending off. So it's the referee mistake not the player. So the referee should be banned!

I think this is our defend tactic. Compare to Clichy, Sagna is better in terms of recovering the ball and tackling. I think if Sagna really in the game, our defend will be as solid as rock.By that time, our opponent will only play the bus tactic. We need to give them some room to attack in order to play our counter attack tactic

if a player will get ban wins a penalty from a dive...what about a player score from a offside position? will get ban as well? lol...Celtic are just a bunch of crybabies because they unable to get themselves into this big money tournament...let them say what they want.

Let get over it to this weekend match...from what i see, the best lesson from both of the celtic's ties is the physical part in the game. Both of the game with celtic was quite rough and the team can hold them and fight them back. This is what we lack of in previous seasons where we were too often bullied by rough teams and ManU know how to use their physical play very well. We already have the qualities of doing deadly passing, and now with the addition of a little physical approach...we're very close to a complete team.

man i totally agree with u!
like what AW said, it might have been Dudu trying to avoid the contact from the keeper lest the incident (kaki patah) happened again!
it wasn't like he intentionally dive. and i just saw the news he might be ban for 2 games. this is injustice! vmad.gif
i think UEFA is whole lot of shit. it is Dudu is a scapegoat in this diving issue. When babel or gerrard dive no actions were taken. heck when other big names were diving here and there *cough*CristianoRonaldo*cough* no actions were taken. damn i m piss! mad.gif

anyway i can't wait for this saturday's big match. i m confident we can win icon_rolleyes.gif

I'm worried about this weekend's game. All the media hype and attention about our form and now the ugly scenes over hyped by the media on eduardo is bound to make us the team to be beaten this weekend despite going away to man utd.

The scoreline for the past few games i think might flatter us abit and i still think despite impressing and improving, we still look quite vulnerable in defense. Defending as a team will be crucial.

contrary to the above quote, im worried that 4-3-3 IF we play too narrow which we did for some times, will expose our full backs and leave our wings more open. This has resulted in numerous times that our fullbacks have been left exposed. This threat is managed with the whole team pressing high up the pitch.. never the less im worried we will play into man utd's hands as utd use traditional full width with their wingers, valencia has caused us trouble last season depite being on the losing end at wigan (a game that i was at incidently =P ) Him and nani's pace and trickery on the counter attack will be of concern and esp if SAF decides to employ rooney down the wing again leaving berba and michael owen up front.. surely that might be of a nightmare considering last season's meeting. The only consolation i gather is that it may be easier for us to score..

i think the battle will be decided on how we take our chances and how well we defend .. as i think we're both likely to score and conceed. mayb the battle will be decided in midfield and if it is then we're odds on to win. our defense will have to be bullish to stand up against rooney, berba least not to let them run riot.

Mayb AW will field diaby to put him up against anderson if he plays as anderson is strong in midfield and has a lot of power play in him. Last couple of meetings cesc was over powered by the sheer force and direct running.
