so, even though i cannot for the life of me understand why wenger would wanna bring vieira back, if he decides to, i'm sure there will be a reason and a good one at that for doing it. however, given the choice, i'd take matuidi over vieira any day (in the current state of both players).
Arsene ruled out a move for Matuidi, while previously he has also stated that he is not that keen in bringing in Vieira. I'd be more surprised if either or both of them end up at the Grove come Sept 1.
On paper, the young and fit Matuidi seems to be the more sensible choice but with Denilson/Song/Diaby/Fabs/Rosicky/Nasri/Ramsey/Merida all eyeing for the central midfield positions, I can totally understand if le Boss chooses not to spend the money.
Meanwhile, Sol has found himself a new home after being released by Pompey... the thing is, at the age of 35 he's still earning 40K per week from a team in League Two !! Those Arabs....

Campbell once said he likes to be "like a tiger roaming the jungle" and he will certainly be the biggest of fat cats in the bottom rung of the professional game in this country after Munto Finance, the Middle East-based company that is funding the incredible developments at the oldest Football League club, awarded him a five-year playing contract worth an estimated £40,000-a-week, in a dressing room where manager Ian McParland admits some of his players earn a "basic £500-a-week."
http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/footbal...ht-1777092.htmlLescott joined the funhouse up in Manchester, so does this mean Sendy will eventually leave for Everton? If he does, then surely we could use a backup defender as currently we've only got Gallas, Vermy, and Silvestre fit while Song's making the DM position his very own.
Two interesting articles from Tony Attwood...
Arsene? Best?
http://blog.emiratesstadium.info/?p=1213Heart says yes, but head says no... Loathe to say this, but Ferguson still won more trophies. Then again, it depends on what your definition of "best" is. If it's revolutionising English football, then yes.
I'm glad we ain't spending money like crazy... Mike Ashley made a mickey out of Newcastle and they may end up like Leeds, Liverpool's cash strapped now, while all the other teams who built new stadiums went down the drain...
