just bought the celcom BB d98 and already regretting it. heres my speedtest. before i set the APN to celcom3g

And after i set the APN. didnt make much of a difference in browsing speeds though.

i tried this near terminal putra, gombak KL.


anyone have experience with the 7 days money back guarantee? do they give the whole advance payment back to you?


Added on August 26, 2009, 7:21 amthe boost on speedtest could be cuz it was tested during early morning.

i heard that before about 7 days money back guarantee, but do not have experience about it..
i think u can get ur money back, coz u not satisfied with the services

that would be cool. at one time in the morning celcom started working properly dl speed was going crazy like around 40-60 KB/sec as shown on my modem's software. but i wasnt loading anything at that moment lol. where was this dl speed come from then? it showed im dling but no pages were loading at that time. wth?

plus i tried getting on this stray unsecured izzinet wifi conn in my building and although the speedtests were slower than celcom BB, browsing and youtube dling is much faster. biggrin.gif .

currently got no prob wif my connection juz not satisfied wif da ping time... unsure.gif guyz any idea on how to reduce da ping time? already use openDNS but stil 300-400ms... hurm.. hmm.gif

anyone know how to reduce the ping time,i saw some people thier ping time quite low,like 100++~200++ oni....i always 500++ and what is APN?

i manage to get around 300-400ms...wonder how some user able to reduce da ping time as low as 100++... hmm.gif any1?

opendns won't help in download speed im afraid. it's only for domain name resolution

i already register the opendns ler....im using opendns to test my speed d.....T_T the ping time more high the more unstable on online gaming.....i know many ppl said wireless is not for gaming.....hmmm...so just can surf the net and msn lo.....BUT!!!! NOW i even cant surf the net== i already said.....my network really very unstable....always change from 3G to 3.5g and change back.....change here change there , haiz.....so hard to surf the net.....没有的online game已罢了....now even cant on msn nia....on a while after 4~5minute dc.....i feel im so stupid....pay rm68 for nothing......not 68 ok? is rm300++ ,last time i bought the modem nia....celom ah celcom notworthy.gif 服了你们......无话可说.......i cant cancel....cause my due date havent reached last time about 9-8-2009 i start the service....i thnk wait untill next month 9th then go cancel.....and try register streamyx.....dont know can or not leh....last time the tmpoint people told me that i need to wiat 1month later then can register a new account.....

could be network related then... using D68 or D98?

for D68 once slow will drop lower than usual...

try using other methods to improve speed such as using google chrome, opendns, placing ur modem nearer to the window... smile.gif

if all else fails, time to switch to another service provider biggrin.gif

Maybe you should try wired broadband i.e streamyx, or else move into "uncongested" place..

service slightly improved?which part improve?i felt the service become worst last 2 months.now when connected to HSDPA speed like snails.very lousy service.
