Hi everyone,
Just started using Celcom D98 yesterday as a backup for my doh.gif screamyx connection...

user posted image

I would like to ask, how can I check my total usage (total amount of data I have used)? Another thing is how to I check whether I'm connected to 3G, GPRS or HSDPA? Please guide me here, thank you very much. notworthy.gif

Regards,
ziafang.

Need to ask something,

anyone knows how to detect mobile broadband speed? if i were using normal usb modem it's easier to detect which clearly i can see the network connected speed which stated HSDPA or 3G or GPRS speed, but in this case, i'm using 5800xm as a modem and connect via my laptop using nokia ovi.

the problem is, i cannot see what is my current connection speed when i connected via mobile modem. Is there any solution or software or other method which i can see current broadband speed connected? thanks notworthy.gif

notice that using the speedtest if using hosted by optimal the rate is higher than hosted by VDSL

Mobile broadband is not suitable for online gaming due to its high latency; might face significant lagging during gameplay nod.gif
But some of us here do online gaming with celcom broadband. Quite ok la.. game still playable nod.gif That's what i heard smile.gif
and i think 5GB is enough for online gaming hmm.gif

For K3565, you can see the LED indicator and the mobile partner software. If dark green indicates GPRS/EDGE, dark blue 3G, and light blue for HSDPA.
And you also can check the coverage if you use celcom. Just type *118#, call.answer 3,3,1 it will show your current coverage.

For your data usage, you can call the careline centre. I think you can't check it online. And in the software it calculate data usage for you. just go to view usage and you can see there, but maybe the amount of usage is not exactly the same with what celcom calculated for you. Better call them.

And, if you reaching the limit, they will send you SMS, 'usually'.

Hope this help smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

IIANM, you can try it within 7 days after you register and after that you can ask for full refund. Take some time tho, for the refund.
Someone pls correct me if i'm wrong notworthy.gif

You're not bind to any contract if you subscribe to contractless package nod.gif Make sure you ask before you register smile.gif

previously i use N81 for celcom D68, and it's hard to detect the current connection speed. i mostly refers to my download manager since i'm heavy downloader smile.gif
