guys, i noticed that leaving the USB broadband modem flat actually improves the pickup and speed...

previously I had it danggling from my window, seems like the gravity pull makes it weaker and sometimes dc by itself

now i leave it on a flat surface, a much more stabler connection i'm getting biggrin.gif

What brand of modem you use?

In your modem dialer software, there should be a setting to change the network type nod.gif
Try to change it from 3G only to GPRS only smile.gif

Erm.. not sure about Novatel.. hmm.gif

Does that modem come with dialer software?
I believed, that software, regardless of modem's brand, have option to change connection type..

1. yes... as long as you PC has a USB port and your OS can detect your modem
2. any modem that is supported by your OS.. the driver also no need to worry its inside the modem itself
3. prepaid = 384kbps... advance = 3.6mbps (average 1.8mbps)
