Hi, I already add my debit card twice and each time paypal charged me rm10. So, total RM20 in my paypal balance. The balance cannot be used for international purchase. So, I used it to buy items from domestic sellers. Now my paypal balance is RM0.20.

I wanted to make an international purchase which is why i use paypal in the first place. During check out, it ask me to link my paypal to my credit/debit card. I checked my paypal profile and there is no card linked to my paypal account. I don't want to link it again because then paypal will charge me RM10 again and I have to use it for domestic purchase only which I prefer using m2u because using paypal have extra charge.

So, my question here is do I have to maintain certain amount in my paypal balance in order to keep my card linked to my paypal account?

The short answer is no.

did you try emailing paypal? its weird that they gave the auth code for paypal and you've got your rebate but you don't have a card. Also there's an option to link your bank account instead of card to paypal now if im not mistaken. Maybe that can help?

Who is your international seller? Is it a personal account? I know you cant send money to personal accounts now.

Actually can send but the process would require the seller to send a "PayPal Invoice" to the buyer via the Request Money feature icon_rolleyes.gif

We have two options of withdrawing money from PayPal, which include withdraw to bank account and withdraw to card. Which way is better?
To withdraw money to card, RM20 will be charged. While to withdraw money to bank account, PayPal claims that it's free if more than RM400. Is it really free?

hey guys, thanks for the really helpful tutorial ! Following all the instructions, I've successfully linked my account and everything when smoothly until I tried making my first payment, I received this message " To complete this payment, add another debit or credit card to your PayPal account or Update your Credit Card or Debit Card"

I did try to pay before albeit unsuccessfully but I managed to get to the stage where I can see my amount due converted from JPY to MYR. Of course I couldn't pay because it says my bank does not allow. However I've contacted Maybank, activated MSOS and changed to spending limit to RM 5,000.

What do i do now? Is it advisable to repeat registeration and reapply all over again?

thanks again
