OK guys.

I had withdrawn my fund from Paypal to my Maybank account on Jan 8 and it had already came out as 'Completed'. Now has been the forth day but I am yet to see any funds in my account.

I've read around and they said it would normally take 3 days for the funds to arrive. Is it normal for it to take 4, 5 or even more days for the funds to come in?

3 Working days..Have to also consider the time difference there which sometimes can drag into 4-5 days. If after 5 working days you don't receive the funds, contact Maybank first then only contact Paypal.

Hey guys,

I've deposited my PayPal account via Maybank.

Then I bought something from online and it was a successful transaction.

But it didn't credit my money in PayPal.

So I decided to withdraw the money back in my Maybank.

It was successful.

Later then, the item reached me at my house address.

Have I committed a illegal transaction? sweat.gif

If you have a debit/credit card on file with PayPal the amount will be charged directly to your Maybank account. Check your M2U transaction history...

About Payment Methods (from paypal website)

PayPal allows you to make payments using a variety of methods including: PayPal Balance, bank account, credit card, PayPal Credit, and debit card. Because your protection against undelivered or defective goods will vary with each method, you should review this page to understand how you can select a payment method and how protection differs depending on your payment method.

This page does not address unauthorized transactions. For information on your protection against unauthorized transactions, please see section 12 of the PayPal User Agreement.
Default Payment Methods ***

PayPal will fund your transaction from your payment sources on file with PayPal in this order, unless you make a change as described below:

PayPal Balance
Instant transfer from your bank account (if eligible)
PayPal Credit (Bill Me Later, PayPal Extras Card, or PayPal Smart Connect)
Debit card
Credit card
eCheck (a delayed transfer from your bank account - may result in significantly slower shipping by seller)

*** Payment Methods may be limited for a transaction, including if you make a PayPal payment through certain third party websites or applications, or if you use PayPal at the point of sale. For Business Payments, you are limited to funding your PayPal payment with either (or both) your Balance or by eCheck.

If you read carefully, there is 2 person mention, no need to register Maybankcard Secure Online anymore.

I believe that some people in this forum is always asking questions about Paypal.

Here is a simple step by step on how to verify your paypal using your Maybank debit card. Previously, it was disabled but Im glad that now maybank allows us to do this.

Update 10/1/12 : Some people have confirmed that there is no need for MSOS registration anymore. So I have hidden these steps  (Step One & Step Two) in spoilers. Please proceed straight to >> STEP THREE
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Step Three
Login to www.paypal.com with your paypal email & password.

In the My Account tab, click Profile and Add/Edit Credit or Debit Card.

Key in the details of your Maybank Visa Debit Card. Make sure the address is exactly the same as your billing address.
user posted image

Step Five
You will then get a verification email to your paypal account saying that you have successfully linked your card. And now all you have to do is wait for the code.
user posted image

Step Six
Okay this is important : Wait for about ONE DAY before doing the following steps**

Login to your Maybank2u again and click on Accounts & Banking, then click on your Account number for your Account Details.

Then click on Debit Card History. You should then see an entry with the word “Paypal”. The code is the 4 numbers before the word Paypal.

Eg: PREAUTH SALE 8921PAYPAL-*EXPUSE DATED 06/08/09
Paypal Code : 8921

**
If you check your account too early, you might not see the details of the transaction and would not be able to get the code

Step Seven
Log in to www.paypal.com and click on Profile, then Add/Edit Credit or Debit Card.

Click on Enter Paypal Code and enter the code you obtained in Step Six.

Success!

And now you have successfully linked your Maybank Visa Debit Card to your Paypal. You will get the refund of USD1.95 to your Paypal account.

:: NOTES ::

* If you have problems linking your card, check to make sure the details of the card is all correct – especially the Address. If all else fails, call the Maybank customer service.
* I have no idea why USD 1.00 is also deducted along with the USD 1.95 when we verify the card. I didn’t have this extra charge when verifying with Al-rajhi Visa Debit Card
* I have not tried to withdraw from Paypal to my card but I’ll be happy to hear your comments if you did try. Remember that Paypal charges USD5 per withdrawal.

I hope this tutorial was helpful biggrin.gif

I think paypal has stopped doing maybank topup last month and now you can only top up with RHB account.

Have you called your bank to make sure you have international/internet transfers enabled on your account?
