Guys, is anyone here using this model (Panasonic DMP-BDT370)?

https://direct.panasonic.com.my/Products.aspx/Details/2864

Where can I buy it? It seems unavailable even from Panasonic Malaysia site.

Hi all, I am looking to get a blu-ray DVD player to replace my old model. I'm considering a few which costs around RM 300, including Samsung BD-J5500, and Philips 2180k/98. Specs look ok (i want it to play various file formats), but more importantly does anyone if it's region-free? If not, where /how can i unlock it?

Don't think BD player is region free especially those branded. Try to find some China brand, mostly those players had no restriction

Wow, I see. So that means I will need to ask the shop to jailbreak it for me? or that I will need to try and find hacks for those on my own?

Your budget is not enough for a region free player. Region free player like Pioneer Bluray player would cost at least 1500 ringgit.

Just got an email reply from Panasonic Malaysia saying that the Panasonic DMP-BDT170 does not support Netflix... in Malaysia! doh.gif

I have replied and asked for full refund for not having such decent feature which is already long available for the rest of the world. mad.gif

Any other alternative suggestion?

Thank you sir for all the Option. Budget not really good, trying to consider change the lens by myself or 3rd party technician.

I have very bad experience with blu-Ray players. My first Philips BDP3200 broken only after 1 year, it was not even used frequently. Then my second bluray player Samsung BD-F5500K after about one year cannot read most 3D movie disk doh.gif doh.gif So far I dare not buy another bluray player as my brother also have similar bad experience with his bluray player, they just doesn't seem to last cry.gif What's your experience with your existing players?
