Bro, how to set the pass through. I am out of ideal aldy.tq
*
the player audio output options shud b in settings when u turn on the player. set it to pass thru.
i took a quick look at yr player specs, shud be ok, alto discontinued model.

if 3d player but not the avr n TV, try to play 3d, a message will pop up, can't play at all.
revert to 2d on disc menu or change to 2d disc, it plays, avr auto detect hd audio, can go to disc audio options to choose other audio tracks.

Bro.my player is 3d n tv also is 3d but my avr is not 3d compatible but why i cant get the true hd n master dts sound no matter how i set the avr show multi channel direct but when i use the player without 3d the avr will show master hd n true hd. Question, i suspect the avr is without 3d might be the culprit. I cant get master hd or true hd even i play normal blu ray disc with the 3d player

Sori,

If I am repeatin.. but wat avr is it?
N when u say u cant get dts hd ma/dolby tru hd , wat does tat mean? Is it de on scrn on avr doesnt show ? Or at de bdp scrn?
If judging by de sound from spkrs, there is very little diff [ of cos, othrs will beg to differ ] between lossy n lossless 5.1..

BTW, u can stil work tis [3d] by connectin one hdmi to ur display n othr hdmi [or digital/optical] cbl to avr for odo..

Denon wif hdmi? Older avrs only hv component/s-video n optical/digital..
Even wif de hdmi.. only de latest can play 3D [ n soon tis would be superceded by atmos processing / 4k ..]
Most ppl who hv hi-end older avrs buy a 2 hdmi-out bdp so they can bypass replacing de avr [flgshps are bloody exp n if its still workin great.. ] ; its a little bit more exp but hey .. a new hi-end avr would cost even more..
BTW ur bdp shld at least hv either a digital or optical connexion but tis will only let thru lossy odo - it tats any concern..

You are right bro.my avr ( denon 1909 ) doesnt support 3d, i try by pass the hdmi cable direct to my 3d tv n plug in optical cable from bdp to avr n my avr can detect dts digital but not dts master n at the same time 3d also works on my tv. Meaning my avr is outdated aldy.

i just read up a bit on 4k upscaling, 4k pass thru, HDMI 2.0... and now this dolby atmos!! laugh.gif

dolby atmos avr supposedly can take up to 64 speakers... hmm... $$$!

so hard to catch up... my next move, will get a 4k player device and 4k tv first. enjoy the 4k video hdmi direct to tv, hv just the core dts/dd from avr.

question really is... even 4k videos are rare, how many dolby atmos bd's/files are available? hmm.gif

just took a quick look at the denon x200 specs...
http://www.denon.co.uk/uk/product/pages/pr...ductid=avrx2000
4k upscale, 4k passthru... but no 3d...
meaning u can get a 4k capable device, connect hdmi to avr, u get 4k video on tv, hd audio on yr hts.
but yr avr can't deal with 3 d.

or get a player device with 2 hdmi ouput (rare n $$$, i believe)
.. 1st output for 3d, player-tv direct, digital audio only.
.. 2nd output for 2d/4k, player-avr, hd audio.

can't hv it all unless u have lotsa moolah to buy everything uptodate.

personally, i wont chase technology but use it to the best of what i can do.
e.g. i really dun care about 3d after just 2 viewings in the cinema, so video and audio quality takes priority - just me.

Have you looked into the Panasonic BDT360GA

It supposedly has two HDMI out

Has 4K upscale and also 3D playback

And less than RM500

set player to audio pass thru already?

when u play 3d, do you get the 3d video but no hd audio or you get no video at all?
