Yeah. Dell not longer have assembly plant in Penang, they moved it to China for better cost efficiency.
So every laptop by Dell are made and delivered from China, not sure about Alienware. |

QUOTE(WhiteFlag @ Sep 12 2009, 11:15 AM) they only shifted earlier this yr...anyway, it's not really a big deal... at least 80% of the components in a computer are all made in china anyway... This post has been edited by astria: Sep 12 2009, 09:19 AM |

Intel has a 65nm fab plant churning out chipsets in China... seriously, i dun see the problem of parts made in china... as long as they are of quality stuff and QC is good... |

Agreed. I think the perception of made in China goods are lousy or not quality should be thrown away. China do produce good product and their QC is improving each and every year. Mind you that mot of the branded stuff that we using or wearing are made in China. The cost of production there is so cheap and with the gov venturing newly developed industrial area, most of the laptop makers are shifting their assembly and production plant to China.
The delivery time is expected to be delayed. Dell can't afford to just send one laptop to Malaysia, they will send it in bulk to cut the cost. |

Sending a single laptop for sure will make Dell CEO The delivery time is expected to be delayed. Dell can't afford to just send one laptop to Malaysia, they will send it in bulk to cut the cost. Well, just like you said...China produce almost all the hardware parts for almost all laptops companies..so now it depends with the QC |

Hey guys, how nice is the Chainlink Black on the studio 15? What happened to Topo Black? Any difference between the two? And the U-trim is what makes the cover looks marble-like right? But it doesn't seem that way in the pic on Dell's site O.o
