I bought my Studio 15 from Dell Direct Retail Store, MidValley, should i register for warranty ?

i try to register it at Dell Warranty page, but it shown me the msg "Please ensure the following values are valid:", what is that about?

Btw, i have installed Doom 3 into it and noticed the gpu temp can reached till 82 Celcius after played for 5 to 10 minutes. Is it safe?

play more tham 15 minutes & u will notice it exceeds 90C >.<!!

Lol. get a cooler will solve the problem. If not just raise up your Laptop higher to allow a better air ventilation.

Doom 3 can caused the temperature hike to 80'c?? I was playing COD4 with my HD3450 and the laptop heat still manageable for around 70'c hot. It is really hot when you game a lot with this laptop. What I can suggest is that get a good laptop cooler and you can try to learn how to undervolt your laptop for less heat produced. But beware that you take your own risk by undervolt your laptop.

actually, other hardwares like cpu, hdd, mobo all in safe temperature
just the gpu's load temperature too high

Guys, how to contact dell for warranty? I got this problem, I can't insert the any disc into the dvd drive. it seems something blocking it from the inside. Need help here

summore how to know if the gpu is 512 mb or 256 mb...

the gpu is ddr3 or ddr2....

The new Dell 15 will come in gpu 512 mb but sad to say its a DDR2. After all graphics of SF4 will still excel in studio 15 though.

Do you check if there is other disc inside the DVD rom? You can choose to call Dell through their toll free line but I got another number to suggest. 04-6332358. That is Dell customer service department. Give them a call and they will assist you on your issue.

slot loading drives are cool, but can be a pain in the a$$ at time..

now only i know dell 512mb 4570 version is using ddr2 instead of GDDR3...sad

Yeah, have to agree with you. The slod load drives is cool but it kinda frustrating as when I wanted to load a game through DvD or reformat my laptop, it took ages to read those.

Don't worry, I actually visit the Malaysia Dell supoort site to select that user manual just to be absolutely certain that it would be GDDR3.
read this manual & search for 4570
in case that different with ur manual, then call dell support

ITS GDDR3 WRITEEN IN MANUAL..

i m confused now, the manual say its gddr3 but i ask the agent in online chat he say is ddr2 ....
so i think i have to wait for my studio15 to reach my home and get the answer.
