You can search for "craftworks" in member list and PM this person. Craftworks did a bulk for us in March 2009. His post is at here.

How do I install the Media Direct on my XPS 1530?
*
You can download the media direct from Dell website and install it like normal software but I don't think media direct is necessary unless you wanted to view or listen to music without booting up your OS.

this lappie is great.. can play most recent games fluently.. But da demanding ones you better set at low or else White Flag from beginning..
My current spec :
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T9600 (2.80GHz/ 1066 FSB/ 6MB Cache)
8GB DDR2 1066Mhz RAM
1920x1080 Full HD LED screen
Slot In Blu Ray
ATI 512MB HD4570
500GB HDD

Cant wait for the free Windows 7 Upgrade biggrin.gif
This laptop can perform well with 64bit Windows.. If ur wondering why 64bit.. Well 64bit unleashes the true power of ur computer..

btw if u wonder why the lappie's graphic performs lower when ur on battery do this..

Run - ATI Catalyst Control Center

Highlight the Powerplay option

Uncheck "Enable Powerplay"

BTW for those who wanted to change their standard non-backlit keyboard. It's RM160. U can order from Dell.

Brings out the bling bling on your keyboard.

Hmmm, when you're customizing your laptop, if you decide to choose the backlit keyboard it's only RM64 to upgrade. Probably because they put it in when they're assembling it.. Laptop sounds cool anyway biggrin.gif

well if u have blu-ray in ur lappie or download full hd movies it does make a lot of difference..

yes.. the backlit keyboard can be set 3 options : 100% brightness, 50% and OFF..

quite useful if ur playing games that require lots of buttons.. biggrin.gif

well it all depends on the preference..

battery aint a problem cos i mostly use ac adapter wherever i move except when there's no power switch..

no need to send them.. u only have to order from them by emailing them..

http://supportapj.dell.com/support/topics/...pIndex=dellspct

the backlit keyboard's price is - rm160 with delivery
the assembly by DELL is - rm250

u just tell them u want the backlit keyboard and u have experience in servicing the Dell Studio 1555.. saves u rm250.. biggrin.gif

BSOD 3 times today. Well, it only happened after I installed some update from windows live. I googled the prob and it seems that others with this same prob has dell as well. My guess is that that update has some conflict with Dell's modified drivers or something. I'm talking from a totally uneducated point of view though, so, do not take my word as absolute fact. I just thought that I should just let you guys know about this if you're encountering this prob as well..
