this lappie is great.. can play most recent games fluently.. But da demanding ones you better set at low or else White Flag from beginning..
My current spec :
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T9600 (2.80GHz/ 1066 FSB/ 6MB Cache)
8GB DDR2 1066Mhz RAM
1920x1080 Full HD LED screen
Slot In Blu Ray
ATI 512MB HD4570
500GB HDD

Cant wait for the free Windows 7 Upgrade biggrin.gif
This laptop can perform well with 64bit Windows.. If ur wondering why 64bit.. Well 64bit unleashes the true power of ur computer..

btw if u wonder why the lappie's graphic performs lower when ur on battery do this..

Run - ATI Catalyst Control Center

Highlight the Powerplay option

Uncheck "Enable Powerplay"

BTW for those who wanted to change their standard non-backlit keyboard. It's RM160. U can order from Dell.

Brings out the bling bling on your keyboard.

well if u have blu-ray in ur lappie or download full hd movies it does make a lot of difference..

yes.. the backlit keyboard can be set 3 options : 100% brightness, 50% and OFF..

quite useful if ur playing games that require lots of buttons.. biggrin.gif

well it all depends on the preference..

battery aint a problem cos i mostly use ac adapter wherever i move except when there's no power switch..

smile.gif Hi new dell laptop studio 15 user reporting in. Can add me ? Thanks  a lot

Sorry to cut in, I am quite interested for the keyboard backlit upgrade.

Do i have to sent back the lappie to Penang for the upgrading work or I can order from Dell and do it myselg leh?

Thanks

Fish

no need to send them.. u only have to order from them by emailing them..

http://supportapj.dell.com/support/topics/...pIndex=dellspct

the backlit keyboard's price is - rm160 with delivery
the assembly by DELL is - rm250

u just tell them u want the backlit keyboard and u have experience in servicing the Dell Studio 1555.. saves u rm250.. biggrin.gif

is there selling pre-build model or customize...?
interesting price with 8700 4gb ram..
*
that is the normal price for the 8700 model with 4gb ram. but the display is the normal one. 1366x768. Price last time i bought for my friend 3299 with free dell targus laptop bag, dell mice, targus lock. Color was plum purple i think.

You can get it at any Dell Shop. It's like the high-end version for 1555.

And yes. You can notice the difference between t6500 and the p8700. A few seconds on application startup. And can hold the stress of opening multiple applications and videos.

BTW Dell is not a singaporean company. It's from the USA. Big boss is of course Micheal Dell. Why didn't u order at Dell.com.my or call them via the Malaysian number?

the best way is to call dell service centre.. the call is free and they'll do a diagnose for u on the phone.. if u still have problem they'll usually send a technician to ur house on the next day..

Yea you are right . they have arranged engineer onsite to replace the module straight away and is working perfect now..

see.. that's why we opt for DELL.. icon_rolleyes.gif

btw there was a time when we get Malaysian made DELL and the quality was the best.. Now the Malaysian made are being used by Western countries.. They are higher qualities than our Studio 1555 which were made in China (u can see DELL HELL.. United States user back then used the China made ones)..

Lucky for us our customer service are one of the best in the world..

well.. bag is included in freebies.. some more tak payah tunggu 2 weeks dah.. waste of masa.. better drool when the laptop is in front of u rather than tengok kat website saja.. haha.. sure is worth it.. some more boleh try kat kedai.. sometimes order dari website ada manufacturing defects.. screen prob.. wireless prob.. bluetooth prob.. yes there's warranty but would u want that on new laptop? pi kedai try lagi best.. hahaa..
