Topo black's kinda different from pure colour ones. Personally I would prefer topo black than other colours. However, if Mike Ming design is available, I'll sure go for it....makes your laptop stand out... rclxms.gif

Is the connection from power supply to the adaptor secured/tight? Is the voltage at your electric supply stable? If the connection is tight and voltage is stable, it should not produce any noticeable sound. If yes, better call dell.

I just remove the battery when I'm on AC power as I will turn my Studio on 24 hours a day. This is to prevent it to become too hot, as heat will affect battery life, or so I've read. I'll use battery mode only once in a week, I guess.

If you want matt surface, buy it and stick the transparent cover on it. Feels 100% like matt surface on my Topo Black...smile.gif

But I do think Topo Black's kinda good. Better than plain colour (maybe my personal taste)

Just got my HDD changed due to error 2000-0146. HDD can't be detected. Tried to email them but seems like no reply. So tried call them. The following day, they response to my call and made appointment to replace my HDD.

But unfortunately, they change my ori WD HDD to toshiba HDD. Is Toshiba HDD more inferior?

I would agree with Rayz that calling is more efficient than email. and their customer service quite efficient too.

I've changed my HDD on friday and had to reinstall all drivers. Previously, there's a bluetooth icon in control panel. But now, it's gone and I can't connect my bluetooth stereo headset to my beloved S1555. Can anyone advise how to overcome this?

Well, I guess you need to either call Dell as soon as possible to verify (using your service tag) or call up the retailer to demand an explanation. From what I know, usually Dell's systems are sold with OS preloaded and the label attached to laptop (for my Studio 15, the sticker is visible once I remove my battery).

I did noticed that when I plug in my earphone, the volume tends to be louder. However, I usually use my bluetooth stereo so there's not a big problem for me.

Hi all,

Recently, I can't start up my Studio 1555. Perform the PSA, found out error code 2000-0123. Supposedly it's memory problem. Anyone of sifu's out there have encountered this problem before? What would be the solution?
