hi everyone, want to ask, beside from dell or oversea online shop, where can we get dell 1555 parts? i broke my lcd black frame. and also i want to change the top cover. anybody ever done that?

To recall back, my studio laptop got this LCD problem (vertical lines) and i passed it to a shop called Evernew to get it fixed. They kept my laptop for 1 whole freaking week. They called me yesterday and told me that they couldn't fix it. I was like FFFUUUUU, kept it for like 1 whole freaking week and now end up i got nothing but a same spoilt (not spoilt la, just ...) laptop.

Then i took it back from them today. I tried to switch it on but it didn't work. I thought the battery's dead (since it's 1 whole freaking week, so i thought it's okay that i couldn't switch it back on). When i got home, i switched it on again and it didn't work.

it's dead =_____________________= wtf.

i would prefer below RM 3000.....if possible for the usages i listed out......one more usage is downloading torrents....so maybe it will be left on for long hours.

dell inspiron 15R ur choice!

but the website says the display is:

"15.6 Widescreen HD WLED Glossy Display with TrueLife™ (1366x768)"

however, it also says it has a HDMI port, so can i hook it up to a fullHD monitor and get 1920x1080 display for movies?

one more thing, should i go for the i3 380M or i5 480M processor?

You can hook it to FullHD monitor and run at 1080p.
Do you need better CPU ?

Home Premium is usually enough for normal user, do you need the extra feature on Ultimate ?

Well, the AutoCAD may benefit from the faster CPU...

1555 owner reporting in. this is my 1st laptop and it's 1 year 7 months old and still counting.

everything fine with it except that the GPU and CPU gets really hot after long hour gaming but it's winter now so nvm. and since few months back there's this problem here. occasionally my wireless connection will malfunction. the icon on the right bottom corner still shows im connected but i totally cant surf the net and when i try to reconnect. the whole windows explorer will be not responding. and everything just wont work. i cant even restart my laptop with the normal way. everytime this happen i have to force shutdown my computer.

Is any1 here facing the same problem?

guys can you help me a favor?

i want to find the bottom base and the door of this laptop due to some unexpected eventS. does anybody know where to sell it?
