you get what you pay for, that's why those wheels are so expensive.

best get those acrylic/pixie glass enclosed containers. I tried with wire cage once and I got bedding all over the carpet as the hamster dug around.
the hamster will be restless from the start of the journey because of non familiar environment and also because of the moving car, but will soon tire out and rest, so no worries.
keep the hamster under shed at all times, preferably at the foot well of the front passenger. Like Snoopie said, never under the hot sun.

i think will be fine if you leave lots of foods and water which will last enough for 1week.. But i will say, the best is to ask other people to help you take care of your hamsters while you are not around.. You never know what will happen in 1weeks time.. So just ask your frens or family to feet them in routine and change their water every 2-3days.. biggrin.gif

used toilet roll laugh.gif

makes good sleeping place (for small hamsters), provided it's not chewed into bits.

She ignores the toilet roll, and ignores any box that i placed in as well.

She's bored because she constantly tries to escape, biting the bottle and its hole. I gave her tissue but she's not into nesting.

It's basically a guppy tank with a house, a bowl, some wooden chewtoys, and a wheel. That alone makes it feel so cramped already

Don't really think they look cute. And these have no personality.. Not for me. But for small kids who can't take care of real hamsters, then buy this better. At least no real animal will be harmed. tongue.gif

Does your hamster like mealworms? Or you can try crickets too.... just let a few go in the tank and she will try to catch them.

If you do not like that, try making a few levels using tissue box, cereal box, glue them together with non-toxic glue, which is safe when consumed. Use your creativity, cut holes, then put some yummy treats in a few sections and see.
