I just bought Quaker oat from giant, expect to found giant brand oat as it will be much cheaper. sweat.gif

Just separate the alien pupa into another container, just in case the mealworm and beetles eat them.

Then after the alien pupa turned into beetles, put the beetle back into the original container.

Hopefully within 1 - 2 weeks can start to see small worms coming out as i can't found any eggs. tongue.gif

hmm anyone know why when i tried to put back the male hamster with the female after 2 weeks + after birth then they sort of start fighting? O.o
*
It happens sometime...
Try to clean the cage and put brand new bedding inside the cage without any old smell,
then put the male into the cage 1st, then follow by the female.
That should work.

Sometimes female are territorial after giving birth. smile.gif

QUOTE(FirezZ @ Apr 8 2011, 12:54 PM)
yest i tried to place one by one all 5 little one with their father ... obv. no fighting, no bullying..
Took out all 5... place female with male ... (to the male's cage) no fighting as well .. but the male keeps on *duh ... going to have intercourse with the female but the female seems reluctant and run here run there... tongue.gif

add in 1 little one together .. no issue as well .. the little one keeps on eating and eating while the 2 older one running here and there (i mean wheel)

Left out 4 young one in another cage and planning to clean the cage tomorrow.. guess it should be time to separate them smile.gif

*this morning when looking at them .. the 3-in-1 family seems nice / warm ... sleeping together on the wheel...

seems like a good progress smile.gif

should i add in all little one togehter with them ? or still stick to earlier plan .. separate the young one based on sex in diff cage ? (After i manage to diff their sex shortly)

thanks
*
Well, what i will do is separate the littles with both the parents once they reach 3-4 weeks.
Then separate both parents into different cage to prevent the mother from pregnant again.
Then 5-6 weeks, after the little's gender been obvious, separate them according to gender. icon_rolleyes.gif

Its my first time posting here guys, please be nice haha smile.gif

Sigh, my female syrian ran away about 4 days ago and left a pup behind. Needless to say the pup didn't survive the night. I bought the habbitrail den as a new extension for my cage but i guess i forgot to make sure it was clipped properly. She ran to the garden and by the time my sister notified me she's gone. It was dark and my garden's filled with trees. I tried seacching everywhere, even my neighbour's garden (as the houses in my area has wooden fences with gaps) but still couldn't find her. Pretty depressing really. I mean, she couldn't have gotten thaaat far, so i suspected she fell into the drainage. Anyone experiened anything like this before?
*
Well,so far, my hamsters managed to escape until the living hall only, then my housemate spotted him then put him inside ball until i come back.
That's why need to check the cage frequently.

You can try to attract her by putting some of her food outside your house.
Once she's hungry, she will smell the food and come back...hopefully la. smile.gif

*
No la,not breed to keep, but breed to sell to pet shop.
There's one pet shop, the condition is quite dirty there.
But they willing to buy hamsters if i wanna breed...

Dirty ah ? As in the hamster aquarium is wet, smelly, poo overloaded ?
*
The aquarium so far still ok la.
They got put 1-2 small house inside it.
Then got a standalone wheel.
But don't have water bottle, only got water bowl.

The pet shop mainly selling birds and chickens...

For me, i'm feeding my hamsters with super premium food with oat, fresh vege or mealworms once or twice per week.
With high quality bedding and water bottles as well.

If wanna compare with mine, i think theirs like 1 star and mine is 5 stars. tongue.gif

1. What are the transport methods for pets provided by Malaysia Airlines?

Malaysia Airlines only allows pets to travel as checked baggage.

2. Can I take my pet in the passenger cabin?

No, Malaysia Airlines does not accept pets in the passenger cabin. Please contact the airline for information about travel with a service animal.

That's all i can find online.
Maybe you should try ask the Airline counter.

For my case, last time some of my WW hamsters sleep upstairs all the time.

Upstairs got 2 wheels attached to it, so everytime i will take out upstairs and wash everything include the 2 wheels too.
Then after wash,i will put some bedding upstairs to prevent dirty poo.

But after 1 night, the wheels will be full of their poo and urine.
Then all the bedding i put upstairs, will be at downstairs already.

Faint....

I got one problem here.

Last month, i traded 2 hamsters with another forumer.
1 male and 1 female.
Both of them aged 4 weeks when i got them.

I've been having them for around 1 month already.
BUT, the female scare of me since the day i brought here home until now...

Very hard to tame her since the only thing she do is running away from me...

Any idea or suggestion?
