QUOTE(??!! @ Jan 6 2010, 07:48 PM) Read the back pages of this thread...answer is there...complete with example and detailed calculation. Is this what you mean? Can anyone verify below calculation is correct? In summary, u will be paid div prorated on monthly basis, but payment date is after the div declaration...similar to EPF div calculation. QUOTE(MESTA @ Dec 22 2009, 01:31 AM) If you had 10,00 on 1 Jan 2009 and you deposit another 6,000 on 15 Jun 2009 and another 4,000 on 10 Dec 2009 you will get Full year dividend for the 10,000 @ 7.5% = 750 and get Jul to Dec or 6 month dividend for your 6,000 @ 7.5% for 6/12 year= 225 you will not get any dividend for your 4,000 as the month is not complete the basis of calculation of the Bonus for the 1.05% change yearly. I think if you had not kept the investment for more than 5 years you will get less than the 1.05. I don't think you will get anything for the 6000 and 4000 above. Depending when you had deposited your 10,000 you may get a varying percentage. I hope it help 0op... ASB declared 7.30% dividend and 1.25% bonus for 2009. |

QUOTE(donpapachino @ Jan 5 2010, 12:18 PM) i did take up asb loan 3 years ago using maybank 'fixed amount' standing instruction. cant remember the BLR rate back then, but since the BLR have been reduced, i have been paying more than the required amount. You can write in to the branch to reduce the standing instruction to the new amount.seems that i cant change the standing instruction to fluctuate according to BLR, but just that my loan tenor might be shortened since i pay more. but if BLR increase, then tenor will be longer. Must be to the actual branch, not just any maybank. The loan tenure will still follow the new rate and not your old one. So technically you are actually paying more.... All the excess money won't be put inside your loan account, but 'floating' inside the bank's system. The 'floating' money also cannot be refunded back into your Standing Instruction-linked account. I found out about this when I checked my loan statements online thru mb2u, and clarified with Maybank. Apparently I 'overpaid' almost Rm500 but Maybank won't accept into the loan settlement account. The solution is to write in to your branch and either ask them to retain the payment or reduce the payment to the new amount based on the new rate. Then do this: Since my monthly payment is slightly more than RM1000, I just topped up the balance (paying straight to the loan account) and leave my SI account less than RM1000 during the due date (1st day of mth) so that RM500++ overpaid + RM5xx paid directly to loan account = that month's loan payment. The penalty is RM2 because 'not enough funds to do SI', but technically I didn't miss that months payment, jsut that I paid using cash + overpaid and not from account using SI. The next month, my instruction to retain old amount for SI was approved, so back to normal. So pay more = faster to finish loan. Or else the bank will untung at your expense. |

U can apply ASB loan in Easy RHB.Now Easy RHB offer an attractive package which is you need to pay the interest for first five years only. This is different with other bank like maybank and CIMB because maybank and CIMB need to pay capital and interest start first year.
let me calculate how much u can get IN THIS 5 year. Easy RHB ASB loan amount 100k,monthly instalment is RM386. PNB return is 8.5%p.a 100kx8.5%=8500 (U EARN) RM386X12=4632 ( U PAID) UNTUNG BERSIH=8500-4632 =3868 per year FIRST 5 YEARS=3868X5=19340 If you want to know further, can contact me 018-2228852 Yunice (Easy RHB) |

For newbies.. please look further ahead. You should not invest using other people money unless u're financially intelligent and stable.

QUOTE(cic.lemur @ Jan 14 2010, 09:26 AM) I think max for ASW only 50K No way. There is no limit for Bumiputra. Bumiputra can buy as much as they can afford as long as there are still units available. Up to December 2009, i was told that more than RM1 Billion of ASW2020 are still yet to be subscribed but that is strictly for Bumiputra only.
