latest fw incorporate data transfer on LAN, from ps3 to ps3 wired.

still wonders whether all data can be transferred or not

but the new fw will delete all the data from old one when it transfer.

thats y its called migration

only backup thru usb hdd is the only way... can't have two ps3s with same data (sony's policy)

Hey guys, I just change my modem to a streamyx wireless modem.

Previosly i was using D-LINk router but kena fry by lightning ytday.

Now my connection quite unstable, easily i would sign out of PSN.

When playing online will dc half way also.

Anyone can help me? I know theres a way you can tamper with the IP thingy but I'm not sure how to.

threw it out and grabbed a separate modem+router.

mine is also modem+wireless router.

but my setup worst.

my modem is free from telekom, and my wireless router is so sucks until my cousin laptop cant connect to it, and my ds and psp cant connect to it. its a cheap rm100+ wireless modem.

and my modems are upstairs, ps3 downstairs.

but i still run psn smoothly, fast download speed, and smooth online battle with green bar usually.

i blame streamyx, not rounter, u can always tamper with the IP thingy, if all ends fails, just press the modem's reset button

just bought my ps3 sg set.. im wondering how to check is it genuine/used or new one..

Well if you bought from shop should be 1 year warranty new one. If it doesn't come with 1 year warranty then its used?.




btw so you guys recommend me to throw away the streamyx punya modem and get myself a new modem and router instead?

i also using streamux wi-fi modem but nothing prob with it....i get NAT type 2 while using it and my dload speed is 1.5mb,upload speed 400+kbp/s.and when i used streamux wired modem i can get NAT type 1 and same speed as wi-fi.maybe u didnt setup it correcly....

hi,

i just got a ps3 slim today. I'm using a sharp a77m and connecting with hdmi cable(1.3a).

I'm having this weird problem. While im in the system menu (XMB) the lcd screen keeps going blank for a few seconds. .

Also MGS dont have sound.

Anyone can help me ? Pls help

when u connecting hdmi to your tv. right after you switch on your ps3, did any message popup said that the system will optimize using hdmi?. something like that.

No popup. It'll be ok for a while and then then screen will go blank. Then ok again n then blank.

^try reset your setting. switch off console, hold power button until u hear a beep sound... start from there.

ok. did that. tried using 576, 720, 1080i and they're ok.
when i go to 1080p 60hz then screen keeps going blank

It seems if i set it to i080i, then everything is ok. Can anyone help? Why would full hd not work. Is it the hdmi?
