I'm sure you did your research and well prepared before buying glider rite?
then I assume you know that glider NOT SUPPOSED TO BE BATH -.-"
that's the basic knowledge bout glider...... you can wipe them with alcohol free wet tissue but not to bath them...

and for deworm.. I think this is the 1st time I heard suggie can eat dog/cat deworm lol.. or I memang so outdated? anyway normally I would suggest you to bring your suggie to the vet for deworming

i Have a question to ask = ) , my friend picked up a Adult sugar glinder from Kl , Wangsa maju 2 months ago, well my friend treated it very well and provide it anything it wants , but it still acted defensive and very fierce nip untill blood can be seen = ( , what should my friend do

probably untamed n not familiar with human, plus no bonding from ur fren...
so he'she is scared of him

ask your friend to get a bonding pouch and put nothing else but the bonding pouch in the cage. then in the morning, zip the bonding pouch and ask your friend to bring it every he goes in the morning. that way the glider will get used to his scent, sounds, sights etc.

also he can put his unwashed shirt over the cage covering it so that the glider can get used to the scent of it.

but well, it shows that your glider sees you as a companion who is trustable, that's why it does that...

if it does not draw blood on your neck then it should be okay... =)

Farid seems like u dint do proper research.. Like muchan say glider not suppose to mandi. I dunno is it me or what... but i think dis has been discuss many2 times! Yes you are suppose to just wipe them with wet tissue. Also u CANNOT simply act like a vet and give any deworm pills or liquid to suggiess. Dosage and compability may not be the same. I suggest you take a trip to KL and meet Dr jenny, or at least a vet that is well versed with EXOTIC animals. If you really care about your suggie, you will do this.. I think you read what Crazymouse said rite.. that uncle Jeorge of yours dunno anything about suggies. You still want to feed your suggie 'vitamins' that he give?

You should use the older branches, wash it by pouring boiling water on it then sun dry for a day. You can give fresh branches if you are very sure the plant is safe.

Coz gliders do like to chew a bit of bark, we also provide a bit of branch. Well, I just give the apple wood that is sold at petshops but we can also give branches from hibiscus. Of course the flower is nutritious for them too.

Cici big already. She is just grooming you, showing you affection only. If it bothers you, just distract her when she does it like push her away or lure her onto something else.

I laughed at the part where he said he is a breeder with 300 pairs and he says joeys open their eyes at 4 weeks. By right joeys open their eyes at 10 days to 2 weeks old and if they open their eyes at 4 weeks, then something is wrong with them.

There are no other vets who knows how to treat suggies apart from KL vets here because all the others no experience.

Also, bathing and wiping is different. Bath means using water, wiping means use wet wipes lah.

And.... please do not do your own DIY deworming. Gliders cannot take deworm pill coz overdose can die. It is poison.

Normally adults that are untame, they are difficult to tame, especially if they are aggressive wild ones. Your friend needs patience. Your friend can provide it whatever the glider wants but it will never be tame if your friend doesn't bond with it and earn its trust.

but I'm curious over one thing... what kinda of vitamins that the shop owner gave you? did you feed that to ur glider?

Huh..finally i am back... from a short vacation..

So many pages... T-T.. luckily i did read up some when dropped by at starbucks last 2 days..

Farid, currently u cant get any Bugsy products at any petshop yet. Bugsy is belongs to petshack.

As i mentioned 1000times b4, it's very important to get a RELIABLE and REPUTABLE seller, esp supplement seller. This is because a lot supplements such as gliderade, hpw and etc. are repackaged. It doesnt come in small small packet like tat.. Is the seller get in bulk, then repackaged it.

That is why get from good seller is important. A bad seller can simply throw other powder in or mix ur hpw diet in wrong measurement!

BUGSY is the only brand that i trusted now, they gave me the confidence about their product and brand. Oh ya, let me tell u, even bee pollen in the hpw may be varied according to brand/seller...some mayb from china, some australia...

For me, i pick supplements strictly. I don buy something jus becoz it's very cheap or free shipping or etc. Study bout the products pro and cons, study bout the seller, then only u make ur decision.

Feeding multivitamins? did u ask the salesperson WHY shud u feed ur glider? WHAT is inside the multivitamin? and mst importantly, is the seller UNDERSTAND glider?

If the seller don even know what is glider, don even know what is underaged glider, don even knwo what is the proper diet of glider, all the products/things that he promoting is not concrete..Because he himself also not 100% whether is the product applicable on gliders or not..

before giving any multivitamin or something related, first you have to ask yourself, do your glider need it. if not, why bother giving.

ive tried doing that but my sugar glider crabs non-stop and tries to get out, what should i do?
