Bro, for contractor, as long as got money, what also can.

But this highrise condo, you may better seek consent and advice from dev or management bcz they had the building plan, concrete and piping layout, and etc which any hacking may disinterrupt other units miscellanous ...

1. check if the two walls is part of the main columns/shear wall supporting the building or not. If yes, then definitely no way.
2. where is the downpipes from the toilet above your unit? you can hack all you want but you can't just chop off the pipes, right? where to divert? would this be an issue all over again?

alternatively, have anyone consider putting your bed 3 AC at your kitchen? they could save a lot on piping cost.

cheers!

Sorry, not complete with my question.
Kochin,

Maybe you could explain on how to install bed 3 ac in the kitchen.

I have problem with ac compressor piping in the hall. It need plaster ceiling to conceal the piping. Any idea on how the piping could be done without plaster ceiling and it still looks good

As simple as putting your outdoor unit in your wet kitchen. Coila! Need not pass through anyway but from bed 3 straight to wet kiychen or from bed 3 to bath 2 then only to your wet kitchen. Mess free hallway instantly.

only if u use that area as drying area not wet kitchen, otherwise your compressor will clogged by the sticky oil very soon

Good info. It's great if management allow you guys to hack the utility room & small toilet, which is deemed surplus to the space.

Wahh, based on the photo, I am sure the owner never seek approval or consent from the management to wall hack the concrete. Probably won't collapse, but starts cracking on it's own unit then to neighbours.

Yes, if the area is use as wet kitchen, the compressor will be oily and when the air con is opened while someone is cooking, it's like air recycle inside the wet kicthen caused the food not healthy ...

Damn, the contractor is so unethical. Everything also can so that customer give the job to them. If most of the unit using same contractor then the building really in danger ...

I think the ethical conduct still more to the owner, because the unit is owned by he/she over the long term. Contractor ada lui, apa pun boleh as long as asked by owner. Just issue is, did the contractor inform owner what is the effect in the future or within management prior to this job. Some owners really dunno this at all.

I am hacking the kitchen toilet and the kitchen window (the one with the cheap-ass sink). Will seal the maid’s room and open a new door facing the hall.

By the way, to that A-8 unit, well.....
- Owner will be having a cracking kitchen very soon.
- Deposit maybe forfeited.

By the way, unit A-8 is rented out and occupied. So I think the owner just did a rush-job reno to get it rented out.

My unit more or less all planned out. Except for one thing which I need advice.

Where are you going to hang your clothes?

I have washer and dryer. But I also would like to hang clothes. Just in case.

1. Bars in kitchen?
2. Bars in near main door?

Any suggestions much appreciated.
