errrrrrr...... after reading 6 pages... what speaker from Edifier do you guys recomend for price less then RM150.

I am a very very noob in audio..
since i been using my RM60 pc speaker(dun even have bass) for 9 years and recently it does produce a sound quality that still acceptable for me...worst then a mono radio receiver.
I got everything upgrade for my system except the speaker and this is first time i actually come into audio treat.

if not from Edifier what are the list of speaker i should go and try out before i buy with the price stated above.
just list them so i can go and try ...
no point aguing since it is subjective.
and whatever it is .... me and the noobs dun even know what it means.
we just noob and speaker is something that produce sound.
we just no need something made from diod tiub.
guys thanks.... just need some advice k.. thanks

anyway i gone thru some leaflet and i am interested in
1. Altec Lansing XA2021 because of it look nice.. din test sound yet
2. Edifier R401, friend say it is good ..so gonna try
3. MP3300 seems new ...i dun know the price yet
4. Sonic Gear Ego 3 also look

of course for noob we wan look and quality as long as it worth it's price.
btw any above have front audio output will have more priority... thanks

Try to add a bit more to your budget. That way, you'll get a better speaker package. At least you will feel better. Your speakers will last you longer in the ever changing upgrade path.

Good question. The S2.1D and the S4.1D is designed for a different market segment. The components used to build them are also different. You can go to the Edifier showroom and test. Bring your favourite music CD. Then you'll know why it's more costly. After that, take down the model number that you like and buy it if you like.
Sometimes, it's ok to go slightly over budget. smile.gif

Just a reminder, remember the model number that you prefer and test the speakers before buying. Last time I got one fren test speaker but don't know the model number one. whistling.gif

Good luck.

if u wan a nice 2.1 system,then S2.1D wont dissapoint u..nice clearity n bass..add more if u wan 4.1 system

R501MKII is a mid range 5.1..if u r in tight budget 2 get a 5.1 system,then R501 is the one 4 u smile.gif

Nah... Just keep notes of the speaker models that you like. My fren who couldn't remember the speaker model he tested was in this thread.

i wanna ask, if i switch on and off the speaker power too often, like 1 or 2 per day, will it spoilt the speaker especially the bass? coz when i switch off, it will produce some "boom" sound... so now i will tune the volume and the bass to the minimum before switching off

izzit safe now or better dun close?

It's a good habit to switch off your speakers before switching on and shutting down your PC anyway. Saves electricty. thumbup.gif
