I tried. But FYI, there is 2 dictionary after u had successfully flashed to V30. The red one and the blue one, the method u gave just now works for the blue dictionary but not the red. hmm.gif

any difference between red and blue? hmm.gif

haha.. that's the problem of warranty.. they cover only certain parts of the phone, it does not matter Zitron or Avaxx.

unless u are bad user, the phone will last.

actually if you are sure u bought a batch that has no manufacturer defects, and u sure u won't trash the phone...
i dun really see the need to buy ori. hence can save a some hundreds and use for.... eat eat, etc smile.gif

i never sent any of my previous phones for warranty also. but with my 5800xm i'm considering since got the screen
problem sometimes.

how much u bought ur avaxx set den?i jus get mine ap rm950
*
bought mine RM1150 ori 2 weeks ago
the difference of price is roughly RM200+- between ori and ap, not really huge difference over there

for me, i choose original because of the warranty, less hassle and less waiting time icon_rolleyes.gif

i know what u mean. but im not bothered with it since it's ok after a restart. and the latest firmware seems to improve the stability .. so i dun think the screen problem will arise anytime soon.

im taking that risk . if my previous phones that i can use exceeds more than 1 year, i dun see why this cant .

my 3310 is still fine until after my father tortured it.
My nokia 6600 is still fine until i sold it to my relative for RM50.
my SE k550i lasted more than a year too. no problems at all, given to my sister.
and i got this 5800. K550i is AP set too.. no problem at all smile.gif

all it need is 1 time. Example you bought your 5800 XM the screen crack and the AP company said you crack it yourself warranty no cover. Your phone lose its value because you need take out your own money to repair. If you afford to take that risk then good for you. All my phone also AP then 1 time motherboard damage cost me RM500.
If you can read the future you wont be here buying only 5800 you should be using N97

Actually I consider AP warranty is no warranty. Since day one buy the phone that is.....
My friend last time tried warranty, see all the young boys... they inspect the phone and start laughing. so rude.

not everything is covered. Screen crack is possible, so dun drop it or sit on ur phone. simple as that. give space to ur phone, try hard not to drop it. it will turn out fine smile.gif

for me, ultimate answer. A phone is still a phone in the end. Life is all about gamble, no gamble no fun.

there's only 1 thing dislike about the nokia 5800 which is the headset. i bought Sony MDR-XB20EX to replace it since the headset sound quality is wayyy below my expectation.

i got a fun story here..

my nokia 6600(actually is not mine) has a problem with keypad. therefore i have it changed. Before we left, behind his boss, he changed my battery with a good battery. My old battery is pregnant and does not last long.

since i lost touch with that phone, i have no idea what happen to that phone, but hey, if u know the shop owners and staff, u can get a good deal.
