im taking that risk . if my previous phones that i can use exceeds more than 1 year, i dun see why this cant .

my 3310 is still fine until after my father tortured it.
My nokia 6600 is still fine until i sold it to my relative for RM50.
my SE k550i lasted more than a year too. no problems at all, given to my sister.
and i got this 5800. K550i is AP set too.. no problem at all

not everything is covered. Screen crack is possible, so dun drop it or sit on ur phone. simple as that. give space to ur phone, try hard not to drop it. it will turn out fine

for me, ultimate answer. A phone is still a phone in the end. Life is all about gamble, no gamble no fun.

there's only 1 thing dislike about the nokia 5800 which is the headset. i bought Sony MDR-XB20EX to replace it since the headset sound quality is wayyy below my expectation.

Aiyoh bro, type of warranty is just a matter of personal preference.
Some just buy and use, never think of warranty.

i think not necessary to do hard reset after firware update.. you can do the setting in order to get the email notification home screen

Menu -> Setting -> Personal -> Home screen -> Email notification -> Visibility -> On

don't mix up garmin nuvi with garmin mobile xt they are both different thing to begin with.

garmin mobile xt is running in symbian os while garmin nuvi is the os itself in the gps. 5800 main function is for call and sms and gps is just an add on. there are so so so many function in 5800 and dont expect it to respond fast like dedicated nuvi which purpose is for GPS only.

some ppl who might need to use it everyday might opt for a dedicated gps and for ppl who need it when it is needed, they got for phone with built in gps.

best example is ps2 / psp hardware isnt as fast/great as the pc u are using, but to run the emulator of it, u need a hardware 10times of psp/ps2. same concept applies for garmin~

yesterday i try GMXT and Nokia Map at the same time, my Nokia Map can navigate as well..(I din purchased licence), prior to that u have to lock your GMXT first...
