btw...has anybody tried Digia @web browser 4 our tube...u can check n dwnld it here

although the site advertise it as a web browser...after using it I realized that it is based on web runtime (WRT) tech applied in s60v5..it basically uses the default browser n slaps a new ui onto it ..dats y it can support flash lite n like in n97 kinetic scrolling is present while in our tube no kinetic scrolling yet...

BUT it is not entirely bad
it support tabbed browsing in a much elegant way than the pseudo tabbed browsing on the default browser...so give it a try n post ur feedback
4 me i like the default browser more as the digia @web browser is still in beta n on my tube it crashes a lot

Added on August 6, 2009, 12:10 ami think the prob lies in ur mem card...i bet ur using class 2 mem card rite as mine also hve the prob sometimes n im using class 2 card
the oni way to solve it if ur using class 2 mem card is to change it to a higher class one eg. class 4

i read from the forum that they will avoid changing wid you by formating your card , the give alot of excuses..

when you mentioned memory card class... do you meant the number inside the C? if yes then mine is 6 inside the C below the 8GB.

Anyway will try to format later and let u know how it goes.

if im not mistaken they already knew dat s60v5 has prob with class 2 cards n will change it for class 4 cards...mybe other forumer can share their experience

nope...i went last week...apparently if they can solve d prob by formatting, they wont exchange...tat's wat one of the NCC counter fella told me anyway

This morning when i woke up, i noticed that my phone auto shut down..
After i switch it on again, the date and time all reset to 1/1/2009..
I always wanted to send back to NCC but was kinda busy and not convenient in my current place, Nilai..Any idea how long will it takes if i send in to let them check?
Hours? or days?

Some NCC might want to avoid the trouble, and just format it for you instead of exchanging it. It really depends which NCC you go though.

So far Plaza Berjaya NCC has been a pleasant experience for me.
LCD problem 2 hours fixed, with smiles all from the workers.

I think all the workers get N97. Makes me feel like want to work there too.

Probably some really special stuff price perhaps.

When u try to exchange the card, inform them that u have done these things:
1. Format the card on phone, still RANDOM corruptions and missing files.
2. Format via pc but problem still persist.
3. Go online and found out 5800 has problem with most Class 2 microsd.

Ask them whether it's easier to swap the card or replace the tube.

The tube is actually a 434MHz instead of 369MHz? :S

Originally shipped with 369Mhz but reported to run at full speed of 434Mhz since v20 firmware.

Is there a "cpu-z" for mobile phones so we could verify the processor speed or something?

I think JBenchmark ACE can help... I don't have it to verify mine though.
X-plore shows my phone as 192mhz +_+

Afaik, no software can detect realtime speed of symbian phone speed yet. Most of them are programmed to show rated speed of the phone.

if you ever experiencing non responsive buttons on home screen, it is most likely due to improper disconnecting from mass storage mode.

-no 'search internet and phone contents' shortcut
-non responsive contacts and dialer buttons.
-empty tooltip on all home screen buttons.
-empty shorcut bar
-pressing green button at homescreen does not bring dialer/dialed log

however, other shortcuts remain functional.
