mybe in firmware v31
im guessing the firmware will be out after nokia 5530 xm out

so far there's no noticeable change in batt life after upgrade to v30
but the ram...after clearing all the browser cache..oni 32.3 MB free
b4 tis...on fw v21 I can get 40~ MB after clearing the cache
I wonder if tis is normal

Its normal for phone manufacturer to underclock the proc speed...in tis case mybe nokia wants to maximize the batt life..dun forget our tube oni being powered by 1320mAh batt

so nokia will swap class 2 mem card for class 4 ones...i need to make a trip to NCC soon

Mine is also zitron set...need to change tis weekends...my mem card been corrupting like hell

now it makes sense as oni hacked phone can access the innards of c:\ drive on our tube...if anyone already tried it please post some feedback

btw...has anybody tried Digia @web browser 4 our tube...u can check n dwnld it here

although the site advertise it as a web browser...after using it I realized that it is based on web runtime (WRT) tech applied in s60v5..it basically uses the default browser n slaps a new ui onto it ..dats y it can support flash lite n like in n97 kinetic scrolling is present while in our tube no kinetic scrolling yet...

BUT it is not entirely bad
it support tabbed browsing in a much elegant way than the pseudo tabbed browsing on the default browser...so give it a try n post ur feedback
4 me i like the default browser more as the digia @web browser is still in beta n on my tube it crashes a lot

Added on August 6, 2009, 12:10 ami think the prob lies in ur mem card...i bet ur using class 2 mem card rite as mine also hve the prob sometimes n im using class 2 card
the oni way to solve it if ur using class 2 mem card is to change it to a higher class one eg. class 4

if im not mistaken they already knew dat s60v5 has prob with class 2 cards n will change it for class 4 cards...mybe other forumer can share their experience

of course if u re using AGPS...but believe me its worth a few cents to get very fast gps lock
if u dun want ur money to be deducted juz switch off ur AGPS

hmm lately if im streaming youtube via the web browser...the controls (play, pause n the seek bar) will lock up (not recognizing any input) quite frequently..
this prob started after ive upgraded the fw to v30
i wonder if this is a bug

a lot of people here r quite excited on kastor ui
here a video of it running on the tube ( its not my tube n im not using tis as my phone isnt hacked lol )

as u could see kastor ui is actually theme effects for nokia phones...in fact the default theme effect is actually being built based on kastor ui technology...if u hack ur phone u could swap ur theme effects besides the default ones...
if im not mistaken u could install kastor ui patch using Rompatcher if ur phone already hacked n u can add effects by putting the theme into certain folder in c:\ drive (u need to hack ur phone in order to access the folders)...correct me if im wrong lol
