i never watch 720p RMVB... how the PQ compared to 720p MKVs?
*
the RMVB free codecs used for PC software.. MPC etc.. they are not optimized.. heard if used with Real IC hardware the PQ can be pretty good..

anyway they are limited to stereo only sound.. but interesting cos 3 HD movies can pack into one DVD-R..

For transfering DATA to HDD, pls use Esata. USB is wayyyy too slow for transfering GBs nowaday.

P/S: I am using Vantec ESATA/USB Dock, anyone using the dual dock model?

moomoos,
Sorry, no got Dvico to compare with. This my first HD media player, and so far I am very pleased with it.

After a few hours of fiddling with the settings on my ACR and my plasma, the picture looks very pleasing indeed. The colours are beautifully rendered based on my aging eyes. 1080p mkv's play smoothly with an occasional lag during fwd skips. I am now not sure if I want to play BD ISO files considering that my plasma is only HD Ready and that these files are humongus in size. For those without AV amps to decode DTS, the HDMI output will produce down-mixed audio to your TV. One thing I find lacking in this player (donno about other players) is that it does not allowing you to do any scaling. It is either set to 4:3 or 16:9, unlike the soft player like my favourit BS Player.

no problem.... thanks anyway

I almost gave up and do not wan to take the charger edi, since I can easily buy it off store here.
