jose Mourinho has revealed that he would like to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.
Ferguson, 67, has stated his intention to step down at Old Trafford before 2012, but at the moment he shows few signs of giving up the reins after 23 years in charge.
But former Chelsea boss Mourinho has admitted he would readily consider taking charge of United.
"I would consider going to Manchester United but United have to consider if they want me to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson," the Inter Milan chief told the Daily Mirror.
"If they do, then of course.
"I like England, where the fans are very passionate and make the game a beautiful occasion with such an incredible atmosphere."
Mourinho left England two years ago when he quit as boss of Chelsea and he returned to football last season as he guided Inter Milan to the Serie A title.
It has not passed Mourinho by, however, that Chelsea have failed to win the title since his departure.
"I had many conversations before Chelsea and I decided on a divorce," he continued.
"It was difficult for me because we loved each other but the relationship went in one direction and it was best for everyone.
"Since I left I became a champion again but they have not been champions again. I keep on winning and they don't."

Sometimes, the cockiness that drove someone to the success..
Beside his cockiness, his relationship with players is awesome i guess

yeah..JM can be a great manager for MU if one day SAF decided to retire.
QUOTE(redevil @ Jul 28 2009, 03:29 PM)
Yea,, but some United fans think JM style does not deliver attracting football ....but for me where he goes he wins trophies,,that's important
he would bring a dull football match, which we as a fan don't really like it plus Sir Bobby has a big influence in choosing Manager, SAF is the one he recommended to the board, there is a news rule out JM by Sir Bobby when the rumour spread SAF going to retire
then 1 day let say JM left united, all the players want to follow him to his new club, LMAO
i dont prefer SAF replacement to be somseone high profile, someone like Moyes could do the job easily, its because of he's passionate with football & the club he's managing, not passionate of himself
Then, i guess he will never leave everton..
