Im loving the price drop..but it may apparently take awhile to arrive(perhaps 2 weeks for my custom config 15 inch mbp..replacement for my 5 year old powerbook)..Just spoke to a rep from Apple about it.
Is it available in stores in and around KL already?

wah... so long? i tried to customise.. and they show me 2 - 4 days.. btw.. would like to hear more inputs regarding

"upgrade from 1,440-by-900-pixel LED-backlit, glossy display to a high-resolution, 1,680-by-1,050 glossy for RM294"

1) worth it?
2) good for photo editing user?
3) or any pros and cons?

sorry for always asking bout this.. bcoz it is something that cant be changed after purchase sad.gif

The thing is the order will be sent directly to their manufacturing plant in china to be customized and will definitely take a long time to ship compared to the basic models...I went for the high res matted upgrade( no way im getting glossy)..it should be great for editing but of course ideally a 17 incher would be better for that but you still get heaps more pixels compared to the 1440x900 screens with the highres display...
Hard to say regarding pros and cons yet..but i suggest you order early as the Apple rep said he will be expecting delays for later orders(either that or you can check out the local apple stores, where you get a feel for yourself..although they probablywont have the high panels for upgrade)

Since customising will penalised/delayed the shipment, I choose not to add/remove anything, stock standard 15"/2.4GHz.
