QUOTE(kazasho @ Apr 14 2010, 03:10 AM) If buy ACPP when you buy your mac, you will get extra phone call support (need confirmation). Thats the only difference I think. nope, u are wrong. what ACPP will do is extend ur complimentary phone support from 90 days from DOP(date of purchase) to 3 years from DOP. as well as ur HW warranty. Dunno about magic mouse but Im not a fan of Apple mouse. More into high dpi mouse for example. if u buy a mac on 14 apr 2010, then ur phone support will expire on 14 july 2010. but ur HW warranty is valid until 14 apr 2011. if u decide to buy the ACPP somewhere in sept, all ur HW waranty and phone support will expire on 14 apr 2013. but please bear in mind that ACPP is only available for machines that is still covered under the Apple warranty. if u wanted to buy the ACPP on 15 apr 2011. unfortunately u are not elligible. hope that clarified ur concerns. |

A lot of people will be sad because the 13" model didn't come with a new Core i3/i5 processor.

QUOTE(piscesguy @ Apr 14 2010, 08:31 AM) Its cause of licensing issues , apple is still using nvidia motherboard for 13" macbook pro as opposed to intel for their 15 and 17 MBP. nvidia is not allowed to make P55 chipsets , they are stuck with LGA775 (and its mobile variant) |

QUOTE(mememe12 @ Apr 14 2010, 10:37 AM) thanks.. anyone feels the diff from 1,440-by-900-pixel to high-resolution, 1,680-by-1,050? is it worth RM294 eh? That depends actually. I'm now on a 13' MBP temporarily and the only times that I feel the constraint is when I'm working on something that requires high resolution. One thing for me that'll come in very useful on a high res screen though, is that I can use Interface Builder for doing up iPad application screens without having to scroll up and down too much Originally I had been pondering on the 17' screen 'cause of this, but looks like I can do with just the 15' with the upgraded display. |

It's using NVidia optimus right?
And the 15" is a LOT cheaper than the previous C2D version. Added on April 14, 2010, 12:13 pmMmm just read the Gizmodo review. Seems like Apple not using Optimus (since Optimus is Windows only). It's a good thing it's done automatically, rather than the old style of switching, logging off and on again to switch different GC. This post has been edited by frozzbyte: Apr 14 2010, 12:13 PM |
