Why after using aMSN or Mercury also cannot support isight camera on mac book white? aMSN takes long time on logging in and keep on canceling the video calls while Mercury claims that cannot support.

hey there guys, finally got my mbp after a lotta consideration money n this n that...as usual being a noob definitely we all tend into running into some probs...so mine is simple to some but i can't seem to figure it out...tried searching on google but came up without any solutions.

my prob is that i am using both DiGi and Maxis broadband for work and play, thing is its the same Huawei modem different models so everytime i plug either one in i've got to reinstall the maxis Mobile Partner driver because it asks me "Do you want to install a different version of the application?" and then vice versa so at the end i have to restart all over again.

This is pretty silly, why doesn't OS X recognise that it comes from 2 different mobile ISPs and different models (DiGi is E1550 and Maxis is E1762)? is there a work-around dear sifus?

Thx.
*
there is actually
u can completely ignore the stupid drivers the ISP provides.
plug the modem in, go system preferences > network. add a new service. and configure it accordingly. From there you can connect to the network. The drivers are redundant

Maxis
Phone Number: *99#
Account name: maxis
Password: wap

remember to check the box that says 'Show modem status in menu bar"

I'm not too sure for the settings for DiGi though.

dear gurus,

I'm trying to open the internet connect app to set up VPN, but the app appears to be corrupt. I click on the icon (which is no longer the blue icon, its now just the default "A" icon). I went on the apple site regarding internet connect, and it just suggested doing an update, I checked for updates but I'm already fully upto date. Is there anywhere I can download the standalone 'intenet connect' app? Or could someone be kind enough to upload their internet connect app to somewhere from their applications folder please?

According to Engadget, the White Macbook is extremely delicate and prone to scratches and dents. Not only that, the bottom rubber collects dirt easily.

Can anyone confirm this?

no one is able to give you a definite answer since so far there have not been any hint showing that Apple is updating its MBP lineup. all focus seems to be on the iPad now. however, MBP users have been speculating that the update should come by end of Feb the latest. take it with a pinch a salt. smile.gif

Try other messenger such as Audium or aMsn see whether it works or not.
