after upgrade bios i have prob the VGA driver suddenly ilang, dunno why.

just reinstall back the driver and Ok, all fix.

go update la the bios, it fixes 2 things. the brightness issue and the blank display after waking up from sleep issue. but it also disables the Fan Bug.

i can live without the fan bug. you guys?

hey guys, i am using Asus K40AB and currently running windows 7 Professional 32-bit RTM version.

my battery life is so short ...less than what i get when K40AB is running on vista 32-bit.

Is it installation problem ? However, i do not face any issues or problems so far. =='

Can other users of K40AB running windows 7 state your battery life ? just wanna know whether mine is faulty sad.gif

just set your power plan,i dont occur any short performance when i change from Vista to Win 7 64 bit

how short is your short?

mine (k50Ab), with k10stats,

surfing(wifi) ,brightness level2 = around 1hr45mins tops

max i think is 1hour 30 mins. oh yea..the battery for K40AB is 6 cell right ?? what if it is run on 9 cell battery ? but is there even a 9 cell for K40AB model ?

i think it's only 4cells = 44wh

6cells should be = 52wh?

nope..i don think there's a 9 celler

I got my HD4570 to be stable at 720MHz core 620MHz memory and got 3485 marks on 3DMark06 biggrin.gif But on day to day games, I just ramp up the memory clock to 615MHz and core to 705MHz smile.gif

Lol 3 hours is impossible, mine lasts about 2 hours although I only open up Acrobat reader looking at datasheet and a little web browsing when I do my modding. I never use battery most of the time

just install via 7.300 HD audio driver. It better than win 7 audio driver blush.gif biggrin.gif

K40AB also have the same update, I've flashed it just now, now with dGPU mode I can change brightness in Windows, the previous one requires a restart before it taking changes thumbup.gif
