Just played Burnout Paradise. in 1366x768 medium settings, and the shadow is set to LOW. A bit laggy sometimes (i think it went to load the map some more) overall is good. Dunno how to calculate framerate.

What are the settings you guys using for the game.

I use AMD Fussion... and put most at Low.. but the game still lags.
The resolution is 1280 x 768 16:9..
I remember reading about this in the pages before... but couldn't find it again now that I want that information... but.. anyone could tell me about dGPU and Power XPress?

maybe at that time my hdd is far too cluttered? I managed to used up to 80GB of the main partition (i set to 100GB) with my programs and games. Better be prepared for me to buy another external HDD. @-@

what u can do is u can simply click on his nickname and click on "find members post"
he didnt install any special software or any bug
he just open the back cover of the laptop
thats why the temperature can reach at very low degree.

personally i think this asus K40AB got driver or system bug. You guys can choose not to believe me ,but i personally believe so after running intensive testing. Asus k40ab has different problem with different batch.. from battery, fan , sound...

Asus F80Q is free from all these problems.

Furthermore Asus forum dont have K40AB topic at all.

Asus should update the K40AB bios from 203 to 204 and fix all these problems.

is this laptop can really play games without any lag? 512MB VRAM means i can play games like prototype and gta 4 right?

everything lowest only 15fps? u using power express mode or dgpu? cos k50ab won't auto switch to the 4570 when u game, driver issue.

One is Intel C2D @ Geforce 105M GC, 4gb ram, bluetooth, 3 yrs local waranty
another is AMD Athlon X2@ ATI HD 4570 GC..

today i checked this notebook, one sell at rm2099 for 320gb and rm1999 for 250gb and another shop sell rm1999 for 320gb..i think maybe they put the wrong price tag or they mislook the price 

i know in term of GC K40ab beat acer a lot..but acer come with 3 yrs waranty..just worry the mobo will die after 2 yrs of waranty..  cos my friend's notebook's mobo die after 1 yrs 3 months...and the high temperature also worry me..

dude....who said acer built sucks....acer make good stuff, infact its like the 2nd best seller after HP...but Hp is american...thats why its on top...america is big... actually Asus ppl is from Acer if u read history of Asus....but still i prefer Asus.

my friend got HP.. so now he put HP outside the gate after the bad experience..the high temperature will give any affect to the motherboard after some time? actually i dun play much game on it...maybe only simple game like flash game and watch movie..

wow..tats really a very good deal!!

this is new amd cpu...unlike the old one. dont think u will have temperature issues on this lappy. plus the cooling vent exits behind this lappy is open. while acer will be closed by the screen.

theres no such thing as country shows build quality....plus even the cheapest notebook doesnt hv problem. so far what is the bad quality u heard and seen?

well..i guess so...maybe thats why its cheap.

but i dun think dell can get any spec close to this with rm2k only lo...now my choice is this or acer 4736g.. but seems like a lot of problem with acer this model too after read the forum ..    too bad k series which with intel processor come with weaker gc but higher price..

Dell's closest offer is studio 15, which is doing rm2699 now.

Actually, if you do a fair comparison, it has Ori OS, faster 4570 memory speed . 320gb and excellent top notch service, it's about equal to the price of Asus ( taking account OS, and some minor hardware upgrades from dell)

but dell only give 1 yr waranty and if extend, need top up again...and 15inch is just too big and heavier..add up at last might need to spent extra 1k..i dun use notebook much actually..just for surfing, typing, movies or perhaps online flash game... cheap cheap one will do..hehe.. i think k40ab still within the price range lor..at first i got consider studio xps 16..but after careful consideration no point wasting so much money for simple tasking..cos i mostly bring my netbook out..so the money i save can even get me another netbook or even sony p series  haiih..i still trust asus more than acer!  and different for abt rm300..

i owned netbook already..but some facebook flash game not running smooth enuff....so now i still lack one proper notebook..
complicated? if i buy in my place, normally they will install everything but of cos using the pirated os lor.. after that then only bring back and ask the shifu here to tweaks!
