I start order it just after i purchase my laptop . I register at 10 of August !!
They took month to validate my purchase !! I send them those document that required for window 7 update via email attachment.
I receive the email that confirm my payment just few day before win7 beig launch said ur upgrade kit will be send within 1-2 weeks.
Then i think i receive it just a day before window 7 being launch >.<

I'm not sure. Said by my sister taht ur Hp computer company send you window 7 disc. Inside had two discs. My sister noob in those IT things. I think might be one is the recovery kits ? I email them regarding the factory image restore inside our harddsic that they will do it or do it for free or unable to create a new factory image restore inside harddisc >.<
No replay from them >.<

Edited the mispelled word. I hate OEM discs provided with OEM like Dell/HP/Compaq/Acer/Sony/Lenovo etc. But with the standalone OEM version you buy on computer shop, it looks better, with holographic stuff etc. That way you feel more like owning an original stuff.

Those upgrade kit from OEM comes with two DVDs, one is the Win7 itself the other is the manufacturer software upgrade + drvier for that particular manufacturer. At least Acer one is like that. My wife laptop (Acer 4736G) is done upgrade. Everythig works fine except have to manual disable the windows firewall to do windows update and download ANYTHING from Microsoft. Damn, the stupid Windows firewall blocking the windows itself problem is not solved at all.

If i wanna bring my laptop to autralia then ... they will destroy my laptop on the sport >.<

Haiz .... Original disc RM490 just for home premium ... damn expensive !! vista home premium just RM 290 ??

Really? I never had that problem, my Windows Firewall always turned on and I can get updates from Microsoft Updates anytime I want.

I tried asking from a Dell chat person, and they ask me to call Dell Customer Service at 1-800-880-301. I tried to call, but it seems all operators are busy (which reminds me of Screamyx). yawn.gif

I called 3times 2day~

1st time in de morning - after the operator told me - needed to transfer to the Win7 TEAM, then i wait. But think i been waited for more than 5mins (using company phone - with speaker 1) then cannot tahan d. I hang up~

then i immediately called 2nd time - then i told de operator - some1 else transfer my call to Win7 team, but i' been hold for so long n no1 reply. She say sorry 2me politely - then she ask for my h/p number, say will return a call to me asap, b4 afternoon. Ok - then i hang up n wait for their reply lol.

De 3rd time i called them is around 2.30pm, after de lunch time n yet i didn't received any called from them(DELL) then i called them again - same case happen again - i waited until de line putus itself~

I give up man, don't expect will c de Win7 in tis week nor de coming week.

Fxxx their Win7 team~
