i don;t know why but when i spray teh enclosure the scorpion will snap at the water droplets.

really funny to watch as they try to pinch the water that is coming from the sprayer.

yeah, using strong chemical really needs very great care.. its risky and look like even harder than the common method of using vaseline and change to tissue sub~ lol (but if really know how to do it, maybe very2 easier! just put little drop of glycerine or fingernail polish and all mites suffocate~)

im trying to find some large scale breeders to ask on this matter.. who knows, they might haf some personal tricks that doesnt in the book~

they do tend to do that.. snapping at the water droplet... once they know its water, they just relax and continue walking.. lol...

imo , it might be due to the water droplet in contact with their hairs...
the scorpion felt something coming their way and attack out of self defence to the water droplets ..which it tot is a in coming thread ..

you could be a breeder in the near future lester... ur collection are getting more and more.. you'll be my 1st list to get all the rare sps...

But my female she actually bend her body upwards to get the water.It is like it din drink for many days
And this method is good for feeding too

in my own experience, normally the 1instar scorpling will molt into 2nd instar in abt 2 weeks for afs ...
how many more days for your first brood to 2instar ??

btw how the condition of the 2 brood???

it should be tomorow. 2 weeks since the birth.

but i'm giving a few more days for it.

only 1 i saw has the potential of molting to 2 instar the rest are still very plump.

lol ... still not up to the level of a breeder ..still have lots tolearn

So far all we knw is using resin and alcohol like wat akagidemon's doing.
