Everyone now going for DIGI.... MAXIS still sleeping??? zzzzz

well i think for maxis you have the option of two or one year for contract and installment payment..if getting the phone through outright the telco will not do any installment..it depends on the bank whether how you discuss with them...

well digi doesnt charge for the extra usage...remember they are not kind too....they will definitely cap/slow down your download and upload speed...just like before 5oomb you can get up to 3.5mbp/s...but after that maybe your range around 256kp/s...see it differs a lot..but maxis dont do that..they just charge for the usage..

LoL, Extra Charge Rm250 for maximum usage~ that gonna be crazy...Must be careful while using the 500mb, dont over cap~ or not, u will sure go complain maxis at the end of month u got ur bill

any1 here can answer me on how to change supplementary line into main line for maxis? Wad else i need to prepare if i need to go to maxis centre ?

for main line conversions, you need to proceed to a Maxis Center (not a dealer)
a. bring the principal line & supp line holder in person.
b. bring an authorisation letter from the principal.

you can also call 123 from Maxis lines for confirmation.

just your i/c and no any blacklisted in other operator service...by other telco ....thats all...if now in supp line i think you need to bring main line..for the official signature for you to leave the line.....if there not available...i think you can settle...

just curious, what's the highest usage in a single day for u guys, including tethering ?

my 6months on idata 1 = 250MB...not even reach 200MB every month.. so far no complaint

I am using about 2.0GB with my iPhone without tethering. Seems like 500MB is not enough for me.

Simply reading news, watching videos, not even 24/7 heavy usage already spent that much data. I wonder what you guys do with your phone with just 500MB.

I only use my iPhone daytime when I am outside, and when I am at home I use home internet. Still about 2.0GB usage.

normally 500mb, i will only spending them in Facebook and Surf net. But not for video streaming..Well, seem enough at the moment

I actually sent an email to Maxis (actually it was from their website enquiry) on this and got a call from them the next day. They gave me some info on the revision of iPhone rates and that's all I'm telling, my lips are sealed. If you guys wanna know, you all should send an enquiry to Maxis from their website and they'll give you a call. If all you of you do this then they'll probably push the revision date earlier due to HIGH DEMAND. The more the merrier, how bout that? And the best thing is, we don't have to change telcos, the TELCO just need to change their rates to a more competitive one.

interesting. mind sharing with us what you actually said to them? maybe all of us can do the same and pressure maxis into revising the plans. im thinking of getting an iphone very soon too. cheers

Why don't you give them a call? Although they should have stock for the black. It's the white that is mostly out of stock, isn't it?

Actually I just send a general enquiry that DiGi has come up with a very competitive plan and what is Maxis doing about it and that I was seriously considering switching to it and that many others might follow suit.
The reply was that they (Maxis) has come up with new rate plans as it has been a year since any iPhone rate plans change but they cannot reveal the date yet but it should be very soon.
My prediction is that it will be sometime in May. I also predict that their rate plan will probably RM85, RM135 and RM235 (to be very competitive). I guess DiGi had the upperhand when they came up with their rate plans as they don't have as much infra invested as Maxis and Celcom have (my opinion) but maybe someone else have some info on this.
On another note, I hope Maxis can come up with some rate plans to counter DiGi's Blackberry RM58 Smart Plan (Whew!, that is really some smart plan).

Maxis Enquiry

In my opinion... if MAXIS really revise their rate plan only with cheaper monthly payment, it would just make no difference... What we MAXIS users concern is about the Unlimited Data Internet while using iPhone like the DIGI...

DIGI always the cheapest and always being the first to intro a cheapest price b4 MAXIS did...

What you guys do until can reach 2GB bandwidth? I only use around 14Mb - 15 Mb per month, not sure what to do, speed is so slow. ><
