@angelic-x,
I really can't quite understand what ur trying to ask. If you're asking whether the i3GS can be used on a DiGi network, the answer is yes.

Hello there, My parents currently are maxis user, but im a digi user,if i change to maxis (continue my 016 number) and sub to my parents account. still able to subscribe the iPhone 3GS package 1?

well bro you can but you dont share you value anymore..i meant that now when join in there are certain plan like value rm50/80...if you dont complete rm 50/80 your parents can share that...so like fully used..but if you r in iphone package ...then you use your value for yourself...but that doesnt make the difference.no problem of changin to maxis form digi and join in the plan...make sure the main line of the postpaid need to be there...

Off topic however with normal just call sms usage it lasted me more than 3-4 days easily. I turned off the 3G as well for that so it doesn't need to constantly search for the signal when I'm abroad

As yuvanesh pointed out yes you can. Not a problem at all. You can also pop in the local simcard (depending on countries) to take advantage of better signal and good data rate. Certain countries especially south america doesn't have roaming agreement with Maxis (although if you call them the cust svc will say yes they do)

@mrportable,
I don't think ur able to withdraw the $ from ur Maxis account unless you cancel it; but should you have paid enough to cover ur bill expenses for next month, the bill should reflect a negative figure hence there'll be no charges charged to ur UOB account biggrin.gif

Anyone sent iPhone 3GS to Maxis for warranty? I suspect my phone has some hardware issues with the home button.

Any idea how long will it take to get a replacement/fix?

the waiting period varies. some cases only took 2 weeks while some took up to 1 month or so. some centres might have refurbished replacement units in stock. smile.gif

I spoke to Maxis ppl. They said they will send to SG to confirm that it's a hardware defect before they will replace your unit. So I'm assuming that I will be iPhone-less for at least a few weeks.

Are there any cases which users get an immediate replacement set?

i have not came across any case where one do get immediate replacement. however, there might be exceptional cases. anyway, how serious is the defect? have not experienced a single issue with my UK O2 set after 1 year and a half of usage. smile.gif
