Wow, that "2 weeks" really looks tempting lol

I just called 1 of the representative at cheras maxis center, she told me my name not in the list yet. So I replied if you guys don't have the 16 GB stock then I don't mind to upgrade to 32 GB. She told me no WE DO have the STOCKS but the MANAGEMENT IS HOLDING UP THE STOCK until they release it and tag our name on it only we could claim ours, so there is nothing she can do. WTF

This friday the 30th days of waiting is due, she said she only can get back to me next week and hopefully can help me get mine next week. And I just shooted out 1 email to maxis. What do you guys suggest me to do after that?

Holding stock? Is maxis try to bring up the upgrade to 32GB heat to over come the 16GB shortage so they can earn more?

let me share with you what i did that hopefully you may use the same method to claim your iphone.

My due date after waiting for 30 days is 27th Sept, actually they already called me that my iphone will be delayed 2 weeks later.
So on the 28th Sept i went to maxis centre and i told the staff straight that i am here to collect my iphone (of cos i present my booking receipt lar), then she check her list but my name was not there, then i told her that the maxis HQ called me to collect my phone. At the same time i mentioned that my fren booked later than me has already collected the iphone (this is bull shit lar)...

And in the end she bring me my iphone.... here i have my iphone hehe

Thanks to Jimmy (a guy from this forum taught me this method to claim my iphone)

it doens't work for me i guess, as i told the representative that my other friend who book later than me already got theirs. Then she asked me to provide my friend detail for her to check whether is true or not, but then i told her they book from other center. She said if other center then different story.

So the fact MAXIS really got their stocks and really made up the HYPE of iphone so that everyone crazy about getting 1 of the iphone from them as they are the only distributor in malaysia. DAMN. I guess Im gonna go to the center and demand my unit on this Friday as my due date is full no matter what.

After seeing so many delays, I called Maxis and pressured them for my Iphone. By the way, mine is send in for warranty claim, just 5 days ago. They told me to wait at least 2 weeks to a month. I'm gonna call everyday. Not keen to wait so long.

If must wait 1 month, I will surely ask them to compensate me for the loss of calls and data.

What happened to your unit?

Darn! Sounds like only those who keen, complaint day and night then can get their phone earlier. For those who silent and just waiting for MAXIS call to pick up person will just been ignore. Time to fire up my complain now.. Else might as well need to wait 3-4 MONTHS instead of week.

Mine reached 30day sharp by next Thursday, if they still didnt give me any update (until now, i didnt get any SMS / CALL) i will just approached to the center and demand for it.

P/s: LONG LIFE! Few secs after post this thread, and i got the call from Maxis. A girl name Tina called up and ask regarding on my booking status. She request for my reference number, name and said she will trace this matter up with kuching branch maxis center and call me back, Probably tomorrow. I did ask about why some of buyer could have their iphone earlier and why were not. But the girl remain silent. Anyways, i did shoot up another question about what if i wanna upgrade my current 16GB to 32GB. will i got the phone faster then 16GB. Knows what the girl tell? "Sir, if u would like upgrade ur current 16GB to 32GB, we would have to cancel ur current 16GB booking and placing in a new booking! Which mean, u have to wait for another 30day!" OMG!

hmmm...some forumner here in fact done that upgradation. I did ask my center and they doesn't allow me to upgrade as well ><". I guess all depend on the center.

Home button doesn't work well. Must press few times and press hard only work.

Yea, i shoot the question due read across the forum and found some forumer has successfully upgrade to 32GB. I guess this is their trick in order to calm down those flaming buyer.

For CIMB 0% installment plan, the procedure is like this. 1st, get the shop name and call to CIMB card centre to inform about the purchase. After they give green light, then proceed to charge your card full amount. Then call to the card centre again to convert the purchase to 0% installment plan. Only 2 options available: 10 mths or 20 mths. 10 mths will attract 3% handling fee while 20 mths will incur 5% handling fee.

So if RM2000, 2000 x 3% = RM60 charges. The charge will be reflected in your statement. Monthly installment will be RM2000 / 10 mths = RM200.

Alternatively u can use EON Bank credit card too. The advantage: No need to pre-inform card centre. They allow longer installment period:
6 mths - 2.5% handling fee
12 mths - 3%
24 mths - 5%
36 mths - 7%

RHB Credit card also allow retail purchase conversion to installment plan, but the handling fee is very high, 9% for only 12 mths.

usually they will will approve your application if your purchase is at least RM1K and above,

im using cimb direct access...no need to call them, as long as u purchase the item more than rm1k u be able to convert ur payment to free interest

yup... What I did was I just walked in to maxis and gave them my reference number. They checked their record that it has been a month ready and she just got me the phone! Hehe. Cool ah.
