judging from the photos on CNET, the launch event by Singtel looks grand. with experience zone for waiting-in-line customers and all. heck, there are even fireworks. i never recall seeing any phone launch event with a fireworks show. i wonder how Maxis 3GS launch even will be.

QUOTE(teikwing @ Jul 10 2009, 11:25 PM) "white glove" treatment. they even actually care about not making the greasy with fingerprints before passing it to the customers. They did that during the i3G launch last August... didn't Maxis had the same treatment???? dang.... |

QUOTE(teikwing @ Jul 10 2009, 11:50 PM) i don't recall seeing Maxis staffs wearing gloves when caressing their customers phones during the launch few months back. Unfortunately, they DID NOT .. and most their temp staff seem blur during the activation.... This post has been edited by vui_msia: Jul 11 2009, 12:07 AM |

white gloves???!!! this is getting too melebih lebih la
my iPhone 3G S experience was extremely un-glamorised went to optus store on the first day of launch. approached a personnel and conveyed my desires of wanting the white 3G S plan, 12 months on A$49 cap. sales person photocopied my bank statement, passport et cetera and sign a few pieces of paper and passed me a brand new, unopened unit. the entire process of entering and exiting the store, took me less than 15 minutes (could be faster, if tinkerbel didn't bombard me with paranoid texts and phone calls number ported from virgin mobile to optus under 30 minutes and when i got home, connect to iTunes via the usb cable. activated it and restored from backup and voila! that's my mundane and less hyped up process of obtaining the 3G S Added on July 11, 2009, 12:20 amextra: the process of purchasing the 4 outright and unlocked 3G S units from the chandstone apple store was the most time consuming to be honest. with the amount of people flooding that tiny lot, and each of the iPhone has to swiped separately on the credit card, prolonging the entire process This post has been edited by nokia2003: Jul 11 2009, 12:20 AM |

Going to be in the walk-in queue later around 12:30pm. Hope that the queue won't be too long and hope that they don't tell me that there is no more walk-in acceptance which definitely will drive me mad.. Looking forward getting 3GS later..
